have committed to play soccer at three different NCAA Division I universities.
Wednesday is most notable in U.S. Soccer circles because of the men's national team's friendly
in Italy, but teams on three of the federation's other levels will be in action as well.
The women's national team kicks off its quest for a third consecutive Algarve Cup championship
in Portugal, the U-23 men's team faces Mexico in the final friendly leading into next month's
CONCACAF Olympic qualifying and the U-20 men's team faces the Montreal Impact reserve as Tab Ramos
continues guiding his current camp down in Florida.

Men's National Team as the group continues training through March 1 in Clermont, Fla.

Texas has enough good quality schools to fill up its own conference. It can keep rivalries and
begin to form new ones.

The U-20 Men are pretty busy in Ft. Lauderdale right now while in the middle of their first camp of
the new year, but they had time after yesterday's afternoon training session to hear a special
message from U.S. Men's National Team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann. Klinsmann spoke to the players
via skype, encouraging them to work hard to achieve their professional goals and offering the full
support of the coaching staff.
Omar Salgado contributed a goal and an assist during the Blue team's 3-3 tie against the
Reds.
As part of its first training camp of the new year, the Under-20 Men's National Team played an
intrasquad scrimmage yesterday. The game ended in a 3-3 tie between the Red and Blue teams, three
goals coming on each side of the half.

SARASOTA, Fla. -- Sebastian Lletget hasn't had the easiest of times since signing with West Ham
United on his 18th birthday, but things are starting to look up for the U.S. Under-23 men's
national team midfielder.
LA Galaxy Academy forward Jose Villarreal joined Jack McBean and Tristan Bowen as Academy players
who signed with the Galaxy as Homegrown Players.
Villarreal, 18, transferred to the Galaxy after winning the 2011 U-17/18 Finals Week championship
with Pateadores. At the end of last season, his two goals paved the way for a 2-0 win against FC
Dallas in the 2011 U-17/18 Finals Week championship match.
Ben Speas scored the only goal in North Carolina's 1-0 win in the College Cup final against
Charlotte on Dec. 11.Youth National Team veteran Ben Speas, who played for the U-17, U-18 and U-20 Men's National Teams,
scored the winning goal to help North Carolina beat Charlotte in the NCAA Division I Championship.
Anthony Brooks in Action for the U-20s
One of the newer faces in the U-20 Men's National Team pool is John Anthony Brooks, who goes by
Anthony. The big defender has been in a few camps before and he's enjoying his time here in
Germany: "I think it's been greats," Brooks told the YNT Blog.
The U-23 Team taking on BochumIn the first game the U-23 Men's National Team beat VfL Bochum 3-1. It was a combo of some pros on
Bochum as well as some youth players. Here's the lineup the U-23's put out:

tied Azerbaijan in a scrimmage on Friday in Duisburg, Germany. U-20 Men's National Team head coach
Tab Ramos led the team, which featured eight players in the starting lineup who were age eligible
for the 2013 U-20 FIFA World Cup cycle.
Two members of D.C. United, Ethan White and Perry Kitchen, have been named to the
roster for the U.S. Under-23 camp.
Men's National Team head coach Caleb Porter has named 31 players to the roster for the upcoming
training camp in Duisburg, Germany, which also features several players who are age-eligible for
the U.
U.S. Soccer has named Caleb Porter the head coach of the U.S. Under-23 Men's National Team,
effective immediately. Porter will lead the U-23 team in its quest to qualify for the 2012 Olympic
Games when they compete in CONCACAF qualifying in March next year.

U.S. Soccer has named Caleb Porter and Tab Ramos as head coaches of its U-23 and U-20 men's
national teams.
Porter will coach the U-23 team and lead it through qualifying for the the 2012 Olympic games in
London. Porter is to remain as head coach of Akron University, and will coach both the Zips and
U.

Porter has been officially named the US U-23 head coach more importantly the Olympics head coach
for the US.

The U.S. U-20 men's national had its chances, but lackluster finishing and defending saw its
CONCACAF U-20 Championship campaign end with no World Cup ticket to claim.
The United States was eliminated from the regional tournament and failed to qualify for the
World Cup with a 2-1 loss to Guatemala in the quarterfinals at Estadio Mateo Flores in Guatemala
City on Wednesday night.

The U.S. U-20 men's national team topped Group B in CONCACAF World Cup qualifying on Satuday
night, defeating Panama, 2-0, on a Kelyn Rowe brace.
Rowe scored both of his goals in the game's opening 18 minutes, finishing assists from Greg
Garza and Sebastian Lletget.
The Seattle Sounders are on the road this weekend in San Jose to face the Earthquakes. The
Sounders need to secure three points to get their season back on track especially against a rival
in the West for that vital third playoff spot. Dave Clark has three questions up for the game and
come back to SAH later today for a match preview and line-up card.
GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala (March 29, 2011) – The U.S. Under-20 Men's National Team opened its
CONCACAF U-20 Championship campaign with a 4-0 win against Suriname at Estadio Nacional Mateo
Flores in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Four different U.S. players scored, with Conor Doyle leading
the offense with a goal and two assists, Kelyn Rowe netted a goal and an assist and Bobby Wood and
Joe Gyau each added a goal.
In a match that was never close, the U.S. under-20 men's national soccer team dominated Suriname
on the way to a 4-0 win in their opening game of the CONCACAF U-20 Championship in Guatemala.
The Americans, whose starting eleven featured Zac MacMath and Amobi Okugo of the Philadelphia
Union, came out playing an attractive, attacking style of soccer in their 4-3-3 formation and kept
their foot on the pedal throughout the entire first half.
On day two, the U.S. U-20 Men's National Team has settled into Guatemala City, getting their first
training under their belts at a nearby stadium.
With the opening match against Suriname just three days away now, the team is sharpening a few
things here and there and focusing on tactics as much as anything else.
