Sky Sports reports that Bolton manager Owen Coyle "claims no decision has been taken as yet
regarding a permanent deal" for Sebastien Le Toux.
Jonathan Tannenwald tweets, "A Union source says the team 'would not use Tim Ream as a
benchmark' in any negotiations over Le Toux regarding transfer fee.
World Cup season has officially started with teams throwing in their hats to get a chance at a
series of qualifying rounds for the mundial in Brazil. However, as footballers fight for a
chance to compete and fans slowly build their savings accounts for the trip in 2014, many of
Brazil's host cities have yet to prepare for the incredible horde preparing to descend on them.
You know you love football. You love watching the players racing across the field with the smell
of cut grass setting fire to your team spirit. You sit at the edge of your seat when the players
get the ball down the field, avoiding the opposing team as one good whack against the ball with a
head or foot sends the ball past the goalie.

The Union has become well-known for its innovative use of social networking tools. The latest
bit of cleverness is this: when their Facebook page gets 92,012 likes, they will unveil the new
designs for the first and second kit. You can 'like' the Union by clicking here. As of this
writing, there are only 6,500 'likes' to go.

Still only 19 years old, Neymar, alongside his agent and his club, persistently fought transfer
talk throughout the summer transfer window, but ultimately he stayed in Brazil. Could he be playing
every Sunday in front of hundreds of millions of viewers right now?

Sebastien Le Toux has won the Fair Play Award for the second year in a row. Bien fait!
Le Toux said of the award, "It may not be the most prestigious prize that people are asking
about, but I'm very happy to get [this award] this year. It means I am always respectful on the
field so I'm glad that the league and the referees know that.

Peter Nowak says, "The playoffs are not about worrying who won their last 10 or 20 games, it's
going to be who wins this series.
So, we don't need to worry too much about how the Union played against New York, right?

Peter Nowak: "Did you guys see the replay [of the free kick goal that was ruled offside] or not

I can say is that we live in a country where you can criticize everybody, including the President

Hours after Bob Bradley got fired, U.S. Soccer hired a new coach: Juergen Klinsmann. It has long
been rumored that U.S. Soccer wanted Juergen Klinsmann but the two sides have never been able to
reach an agreement. Until now.
U.S. Soccer has improved a lot in recent years. However, Juergen Klinsmann is seen as the man

Soccer fans in the United States had a lot of reasons to cheer for their national team over the
last few years. Despite those highs, USA soccer coach Bob Bradley lost his job on Thursday. With
expectations rising, the decision makers decided to go a different direction.
"During his time as the head coach of our men's national team he led the team to a number of
accomplishments, but we felt now was the right time for us to make a change," said Sunil Gulati,

The Faryd Mondragon/David Beckham connection continues after the MLS All-Stars 4–0 defeat to
Manchester United. In Soccer America's player ratings for Wednesday night's All-Star Game,
Mondragon's "6″ is the highest rating received, with only Beckham and Jamison Olave sharing that
number.
A dozen footballing figures which caught my eye this week...0 - The number of times Bolivia were
caught offside in this month's Copa America.3 - The number of Zinedine Zidane's sons enrolled in
Real Madrid's academy.7 - The goals netted by the 2014 World Cup's top gunner so far, Vietnam's LĂŞ

Seleçao a new identity, and the fans a reason to cheer, after the bitter disappointment of

Ahead of Saturday's game in Vancouver, Kevin Kinkead presents another excellent scouting
report.
In the Goal.com head-to-head preview, the Philly guy sees the Union winning 2-1, the Vancouver
sees the Whitecaps winning 2-1. The sport betting website SBRforum.com predicts a 2–1 win for the

The Road to the World Cup begins somewhere, and the first of 832 matches which will be used to
narrow FIFA's 207 member-nations down to the 31 which will join host, Brazil, in the 2014 World Cup
finals was played last night. In the first leg of a CONCACAF first round match, Belize (ranked 172
in the world) took a 5-2 aggregate lead over Montserrat, a small island nation that was all but
destroyed when the Soufriere Hills volcano became active in 1995
The rest of CONCACAF first round qualifying, involving the ten lowest-ranked nations, will be
played by the end of July, and early AFC qualifying is also slated to begin this week as well.

I know, I know...it's called football. I'm with you all on that, but sometimes doesn't a spot of
alliteration just sound good despite it's accuracy to the sport that we love? Ok, you're
right...that was inexcusable and I apologize.
You may have read my post last week about my buddy and I planning our trip to the World Cup in
2014.
Ok, so I don't know a single word of Portuguese. I haven't had to speak Spanish for at least
three years. And I don't know the first thing about Brazil. So....it looks like I'm going to be
pretty lost when I go down to the Cup in 2014. Yep, that's right. I'm planning my trip now.
You may ask me things like, "Why plan so early?

Not going off without a hitch...
While the clock is counting down to the 2014 World Cup, Brazil hurries to get the necessary
infrastructure in place to host the tournament.
It's one of the oddities of international football: the French team, which often struggles
against not-so-great opponents and has had tremendous ups and downs in the last decade,
nevertheless seems to have one superpower: they consistently defeat Brazil. If I'm not mistaken,
Brazil went undefeated in World Cup play between their loss in the 1998 Final of the World Cup and
their less to France in 2006.
Football fans still have quite a long wait before the 2014 World Cup, but that simply means
that you have plenty of time to learn the ins and out of betting on football online. Millions of
fans add a little excitement to watching their favorite teams by wagering online, and savvy bettors
can cash in on a variety of bonuses and other freebies that can add up to serious money over
time.
