The injury occurred during the the first half the teams landslide victory against the Dominican Republic. On Monday, U.S. Olympic Team Head Coach Caleb Porter announced his roster for the upcoming CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying tournament, taking place later this month.

Of the 19 players named to the roster, 13 are currently playing in Major League Soccer.

On Tuesday the 13th, the team will assemble in Nashville to begin training camp.

This past week saw the U.S. Men's National Soccer team fail in its quest to be part of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
The team was made up by players mostly U-23, which means under 23 years old. This was done on purpose to give the main squad of players, including Landon Donovan and Clint Dempsey, the appropriate amount of rest as they play for their own pro teams and also play in qualifiers for the World Cup.
