The U.S. Under-23 men's national team's hopes of reaching the 2012 Olympics have been dealt a serious blow.

Two days after routing Cuba, the Americans suffered a shocking 2-0 defeat to Canada at LP Field in Nashville, Tenn. on Saturday night in their second Group A match. Both goals came in the second half off of corner kicks, with Donell Henry and Lucas Cavallini scoring after defensive mistakes from the United States.

On Friday, the full team lined up against the U-23 MNT for the first of two scrimmages while the teams share space at The Home Depot Center. For both groups, it was the first opportunity to play 11 v. 11 since camp began and continue to evaluate players for the upcoming friendlies.

U.S. Under-23 Men's National Team head coach Caleb Porter has named a 20-player training camp roster to convene March 13 to begin final preparations for the CONCACAF Men's Olympic Qualifying tournament.

The 19-player roster will be finalized March 20, the due date for all participating teams to submit their rosters to CONCACAF.

For the U.S. men's and women's national teams, it's a big weekend.

The women kick off their qualifying campaign for the 2012 Olympics Friday night in Canada, going up against the Dominican Republic. Just a couple of days later, Pia Sundhage's charges are at it again, facing Guatemala and hoping to secure maximum points before a final group showdown with Mexico.

Carli Lloyd scores a hat trick, Heather O' Reilly chips in with another as USA easily beat Mexico, 4-0, to secure a semi-final spot against Costa Rica in the Olympics qualifiers. This result reversed their shocking loss to Mexico in the World Cup qualifiers which forced them into a playoff match.

The U.S. Women's National Team will be heading to London this July and August for the 2012 Summer Olympics. The team secured their spot Friday night with a 3-0 victory over Costa Rica at BC Place Stadium; Vancouver, Canada.
