There is more information about the rumored friendly with Real Madrid, first reported by the Washington Post last Thursday. Kerith Gabriel reports in the Daily News that negotiations are underway for a possible July 23 fixture at the Linc. The problem is that the Union are scheduled to play Seattle away on that date.

The United States Under-17 national team learned the identities of its opponents for the group stage of this summer's FIFA U-17 World Cup in Mexico.

The US will open Group D play on June 19 against the Czech Republic in Torreon. Three days later they'll face Uzbekistan in the same venue before traveling to Pachuca for a June 25 encounter against New Zealand.

On Monday night, I was updating our Events Calendar with the schedules for the Union, the Independence, the USMNT and USWNT, as well as various other local soccer events.
