Last year, I examined the percentage of Superdraft picks who were named to an all-conference team
for the past season of college soccer (link here). For the past three years, 145 out of 164 players
drafted (88.4%) fit that criteria. So how'd it go this year?
There were 54 players drafted in the 2011 MLS Superdraft.

The Union has a couple of posts on their website about the Bimbo shirt sponsorship deal. Of
particular interest is this quote from Nick Sakiewicz. "In about a week, fans will begin to see the
impact of this partnership because we're going to be announcing some significant player
signings.

Danny Califf has been keeping busy in the offseason. Last month the Union captain took a
nine-day US Soccer Coaching License Course. Also of note in the piece, Califf says he's not up to
date with the club's offseason plans—"I find out the news over the Internet"— and doesn't know
what's going on with Michael Orozco Fiscal's loan from Mexican club San Luis.
