Swansea 1 Graham 86′Liverpool 0
Fitting that, on the final day of a frustrating season, the best thing to happen to Liverpool
didn't actually have anything to do with Liverpool. Manchester City stole the title from Manchester
United with two goals in injury time, and that's about all that Liverpool supporters are left to
celebrate.

With a mixture of relief and sadness, the season finally comes to a close tomorrow in Wales.
Swansea City welcome Liverpool in the the last act of the campaign, with both sides looking to
finish off the year on a high note. It's been a decidedly more positive year for the hosts than it
has been for the visitors, with Elvis-inspired celebrations among Swans supporters set for
tomorrow, and those of a Liverpool persuasion yet again looking to turn the page.
Liverpool 4 Essien (og) 19′, Henderson 25′, Agger 28′, Shelvey 61′Chelsea 1 Ramires 50′
Liverpool breeze past a lifeless Chelsea, scoring three first half goals and four for the first
time in a league match all season. Chelsea's performance left little doubt as to the outcome, doing
more than their share to help Liverpool along the way to one of their only dominant home displays
of the season.

Liverpool host the club that defeated them in London just three days ago, with Chelsea visiting
Anfield in the penultimate game of the 2011-2012 season. Both sides have secured European football
via their respective domestic cup victories, and Chelsea chances at the top tier of European club
football for next season locked into their date with Bayern Munich in two weeks.
Chelsea 2 Ramires 11′, Drogba 52′Liverpool 1 Carroll 64′
Chelsea take advantage of a lackluster Liverpool in the opening hour and hang on late to win the
first of their two cup finals. Liverpool were as good late as they were horrible early, and while
the influence of Andy Carroll and general urgency saved a little bit of pride, their late
improvements serve mostly as a damning indictment of a club that, while content to talk about
progress, made many of the same mistakes from top to bottom that we've seen all season.

Liverpool make their third Wembley visit, this time to face Chelsea in the FA Cup Final. The
clubs are more than familiar with one another, having played twice already and set for a fourth and
final date at Anfield three days after they determine who'll be taking home the FA Cup Trophy.
Neither side were overly impressive midweek in their respective losses, but recent history tells us
that tomorrow's got the making of a fascinating and potentially volatile cup final.

Liverpool host Fulham tomorrow night as the West London club round off their Merseyside swing
with a visit to Anfield. The visitors will hope their fortunes are better than they were at the
weekend across Stanley Park, and Liverpool will be looking to carry their improved form over the
past two matches through the week and into Saturday's FA Cup Final.
Had Liverpool's match yesterday at Carrow Road followed the season's narrative, it's likely Luis
Suarez would still be in for a shout as the man of the match even though he'd have come off without
scoring. His first effort would have been tipped wide by John Ruddy, his second would have clanked
off the post, and his third would have sailed into the home supporters that had already jeered his
every misstep.

Liverpool ease past Norwich at Carrow Road on a day that saw Luis Suarez at his brilliant best,
capping a terrific performance with an audacious fifty-yard lob for his hat-trick that left even
the shameful home supporters stunned.

Liverpool visit Carrow Road for the first time in seven years, hoping to bounce back from yet
another disappointing loss in which they looked the better side but couldn't find a breakthrough.
Norwich sit just three points behind Liverpool in the table despite losing their last two, and will
likely head into tomorrow with confidence given their opposition's wobbly league form and the draw
they managed at Anfield back in October.
Liverpool 0West Brom 1 Odemwingie 76′
It's hard to really be mad the wake of West Brom's victory over Liverpool at Anfield
disappointed, sure, and maybe a little PTSD-ish as the hosts yet again wasted an infinite number of
chances to take the lead early or draw level late.

Quick turnaround for Kenny Dalglish and Liverpool as face relegation threatened Blackburn just a
few days after their draw at Anfield with Aston Villa. Tomorrow's hosts sit 18th in the table,
level on points with both QPR and Wigan and sandwiched in between the two clubs on goal
differential.
For the second straight match, Jonjo Shelvey started in central midfield, this time in a
constellation that included both Steven Gerrard and Jordan Henderson. It was a deserved appearance
in the eleven for the young English midfielder, who's found little playing time after being
recalled from a successful loan spell at Blackpool.

Liverpool host Aston Villa tomorrow afternoon with a view to turning around the horrible run of
league results that's seen them entrenched firmly in the middle of the table. Six losses in seven

There's apparently a bit of disagreement about whether or not Liverpool performed that poorly
yesterday some maintain that they weren't necessarily that bad, and had they not had the
potential go-ahead goal waved off by Lee Mason, they'd have pushed on to get the win. I'm still of
the opinion that they were an embarrassing calamity for most of the match and gave a poor account
of themselves, tired or unlucky or whatever else.

Quick turnaround for Liverpool after their Sunday victory as they head to Loftus Road to face
Queens Park Rangers tomorrow night. After a difficult start to 2012, Liverpool finally look as
though they're turning a corner with a convincing win over Everton in the Merseyside Derby and a
grinding victory over Stoke on Sunday to advance to the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
For the second match in a row, we got a performance from Luis Suarez that was, on the whole,
thoroughly enjoyable. His display in the derby win over Everton was undoubtedly boosted by the
return of Steven Gerrard, but the creativity and work rate of the Uruguayan was integral in two of
the captain's three goals.
Liverpool 2: Suarez 23′, Downing 57′Stoke City 1: Crouch 23′
Stewart Downing's second half strike sends Liverpool back to Anfield South for next month's FA

enough to give Liverpool the victory.

Liverpool's form in domestic cup competition has been sparkling the League Cup's already been

The rescheduled Merseyside Derby finally takes place at Anfield, with the two sides headed in
different directions. David Moyes' Everton side are surging, with wins over Manchester City,
Chelsea, and Spurs since the final day of January. Liverpool are in the midst of their worst league
stretch in years and, if Saturday's any indication, they don't have any solutions at the ready.
There's not much to say after that abomination Liverpool embarrassed themselves today with a
completely gutless performance. No sense in talking match action, since there was none for
Liverpool, and there's no sense in talking individual performances, as everyone involved is
complicit today's display.
