The draw for the 2010 World Cup might be two days away, but FIFA got the process started this
morning when they announced the four, eight team pots that will determine the results of Friday's
draw.
Each World Cup group will consist of one team from each pot. Here's a full list of the teams in
each pot:
Pot 1 (Seeded Teams): South Africa, Germany, Brazil, Italy, Spain, England, Holland,
Argentina
Pot 2 (Asia, Oceania, North/Central America): Japan, South Korea, North Korea, Australia, New
Zealand, United States, Mexico, Honduras
Pot 3 (Africa and South America): Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria, Algeria, Paraguay,
Chile, Uruguay
Pot 4 (Europe): France, Portugal, Slovenia, Switzerland, Greece, Slovakia, Denmark, Serbia
