Couple of notes in tomorrow's paper:
Wambach waits: WPS' disciplinary committee will take a closer look at an incident
from Sunday's St. Louis-Washington game in which a challenge from Abby Wambach left St. Louis star
Daniela with two injured knee ligaments and a crack in her tibia.
Hmmm - the usual internet issues this morning - and an e-mail from FairPoint indicating that my
webspace is now available. Hey FairPoint - it ain't my webspace that's the problem.
Could you maybe help me with the little e-mail issue that I've now contacted you about TWICE?
(Never mind the time spent waiting on [.
Well the big day is upon us. Beginning tomorrow and culminating with the Gold Cup Final late
next month the United States National Team will be in almost constant action. No friendlies are on
the schedule in this period. Just deadly serious World Cup qualifiers and competitive tournament
matches.
Maybe you had too much too fast. Maybe you had too much too fast.
Or just over played your part.
Nothin shakin on shakedown street. Used to be the heart of town.

Carlos Bocanegra has made a career out of solid defending and timely tackles, and this
weekend he prevented a potential goal with a last-second challenge.
Unfortunately for Stade Rennes, Bocanegra did so with his hands.

Abby Wambach
Abby Wambach scored her 100th career goal in her hometown to lead the U.S. Women's National Team
to a 1-0 victory against Canada in front of 8,443 wildly appreciative fans at Marina Auto
Stadium.
Wambach, who was a high school All-American at Our Lady of Mercy in Rochester, becomes the ninth
woman in soccer history to score 100 career international goals, and the fifth American, joining
Mia Hamm (158), Kristine Lilly (129), Michelle Akers (105) and Tiffeny Milbrett (100).
Sky Blue's presence in the final is a bit of a surprise as they just barely qualified for the
playoffs. Of course, in a league of seven teams playing a fairly short season I'm not sure the
standings mean all that much. They had a rocky season - they fired their coach at the start, and
the next to take the job quit just a few weeks ago.
