Highly experienced referees Kari Seitz, Margaret Domka and Marlene Duffy were selected to officiate
the CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying tournament being held from Jan. 20-29 in Vancouver,
Canada.
Seitz and Duffy were selected to be officials at the tournament after a series of physical and
technical tests at the CONCACAF Elite Referee Course.
Margaret Domka officiated during Wednesday's 2012 Algarve Cup championship between Germany and
Japan.
Though the U.S. Women's National Team came up short of playing in the 2012 Algarve Cup
championship, there was a U.S. presence on the officiating side of the finale with Wisconsin native
Margaret Domka serving as referee.
Peter Nowak was the last coach to lead the United States U-23 National Team to qualify for the
Olympics. Rob Vartughian helped train his stable of goalkeepers (including Chris Seitz, who went to
Beijing but never left the bench).
Freddy Adu was the top scorer on Nowak's team during that qualifying tournament, notching the
game winning and 2008 Olympic Games-clinching brace in the semifinals.
Arsene Wenger will take the Gunners to China again this summer. Arsenal have announced they will
play Manchester City in a pre-season friendly called the China Cup in the Bird's Nest stadium in
Beijing on July 27.

Panama at the 2012 CONCACAF U-20 Women's Championship.
Veronica Perez, who was selected in mid-February to officiate the 2012 CONCACAF Under-20 Women's
Championship, will be an assistant referee for the semifinal match between Canada and host Panama
on Friday, March 9.

Games.
