Former Italian U-21 international Massimo Donati is realising his dream to return back to his
native Serie A will, in all probability, materialise this summer as Sampdoria head the list of
interested clubs. Donati made the switch to the Scottish capital to compete in the famous
green-and-white hoops of Celtic, whom relinquished £3 million to acquire his services back in
2007, but the Sedegliano-born midfielder had nose-dived in both the short and long-term tactics of
Gordon Strachan.
