The 27-year-old attacking midfielder scored Cercle Brugge's first goal in today's 2-1 victory over
KV Mechelen. He has returned to Belgium, his native country, after playing in Holland and Scotland.
From 2002-2005, he was a member of Feyenoord scoring 34 goals in 90 league matches.
He then moved to Scotland and competed at the Ibrox for Rangers.
K.A.A. Gent lost at home to Racing Genk (K.R.C. Genk) this weekend in Belgian First Division
action.
The contest, which ended 3-2 in favor of Racing Genk, only saw one goal before halftime. Hungarian
midfielder Balazs Jozsef Toth scored in the 40th minute of play for Racing.
French forward Jérémy Perbet helped A.F.C. Tubize to a 3-3 tie versus
K.V. Kortrijk. Perbet scored on a 16th minute penalty kick and then twice in the second half - 60th
and 65th minute.
Perbet is on loan from French side RC Strasbourg. The 23-year-old signed with the French outfit in
2006, but has been mostly loaned out, often to Belgian clubs.
