Sunday marked 361 days since the 29th October 2008. Or in other words Arsenal 4 Sp*rs 4. So a year
on from letting a two-goal lead slip in a London derby, we did it again.
Every year Wenger tells us how this team is improving. Yet, year-on-year we can see no change.
Partly, our failure to win was the referee's fault.

Wenger got the team wrong last night. But first, it's important to recognise a couple of
things.
Firstly, a draw away in Europe is never a bad result. We had six points on the board, now we have
seven. So despite Alkmaar's last minute equaliser we're sure to go through. Which is more than can
be said for Liverpool.

When I wrote a quick post about the fixture list in mid-June it was never my intention for that to
be my last blog post for a couple of months. However, whilst I wrote a couple of half pieces I
never finished them off. July saw a month of particularly hard work and to say I've had limited
internet access so far this month is a massive understatement.

I had a theory. The theory was that since there was such a dearth of Arsenal news, I would leave a
reasonable gap between each post - that way I would still have something to write throughout the
summer.
Well actually I didn't blog for three main reasons:
1) I had exams and had to pretend that I was revising.

Before I crack on with the second instal(l)ment of the player ratings, I have a little message:
This blog very rarely ventures into politics. However, for those who live in the UK tomorrow
(Thursday) is European and Council election day. I don't mind who you vote for, but if you are
eligible to do so, please HELP KEEP THE BNP OUT!

As promised, here is the first installment of my player ratings for the season.
I think it's easiest to work through the team from the back, although no doubt I'll forget somebody
and have to include them later.
The way I rate players comes from my childhood: growing up playing Championship Manager: you have
to be dreadful to get below a 5, a 7 is a good game, an 8 is an excellent game, and to get a 9 one
has to do all but everything perfectly - maybe one misplaced pass; a 10 represents pure perfection.

By way of a pictorial representation of Man United and Liverpool's title chase this season, we give
you below a graph showing the number of points attained by both clubs during the course of the
current Premier League campaign.
On it we've marked various notable events in the timeline which of course you can add to by way of
a comment left on this article.

I am once again returning to write after a long long period of going dark.
Just after we started to win some matches after that misarable form, during which we lost 5
matches and equalized 1 (thus dropping even behind roma in the standings) and just when we were
facing the weakest team in the league (Chievo), this Lazio team strikes again: they line up 3 more
defeats, each more shocking than the other, showing a total lack of spirit and fight for the
team.

Lazio crashed to a 3-0 defeat to Chievo on Sunday with defender Emilson Cribari taking the defeat
particularly badly. The 29-year –old Brazilian defender was substituted with 8 minutes to go
and was booed off the park by his own fans. This resulted in Cribari breaking down in tears after
the match.

Dear readers and Lazio fans, Guido de Angelis (in case yuo don`t know him), is editor in Chief of
Lazialita and a huge Lazio fans. Yesterday I came across a letter of his dedicated to the late
president Ugo Longo. I translated it in English as better I could (excuse me for any potential
mistakes). [.

It has been reported today in the Italian media, that former Lazio president, and a very loyal
laziale, lawyer UGO LONGO has passed away, at the age of 68. Mr. Longo has been suffering from an
ilness for a long time now. Lazio asked Lega Calcio for a minute of silence and wearing black
armbands for [.

It has been a quite week for us, Lazio fans, as the focus had shifted to some interesting Champions
League matches. There was little to write I think, perhaps until today, when some interesting news
appeared about Lazio. The first is regarding a deal that apparently Lotito signed with an italian
firm INDESIT a commercial agreement, valid [.

Just a quick note, with regards to some issues floating around my thoughts, when I think of our
situations recently. I think JP Carrizo should be worried. The current form of Muslera, which is
growing match after match, is reallyt impressive. His saves against Napoli yesterday, were one of
the best seen this season in Serie A.

The so long awaited win at Napoli finally arrived. Tomassi Rocchi ented in the second half for
Zarate and stroke twice in 8 minute to bring valuable points to Lazio, in our quest for a UEFA Cup
place. The first half was an average football match, with both teams having some chances, but
failed to turn them [.

I should be ashamed really. we win 2 in a row and you don`t hear from me for almost a week now.
First we beat Bologna at Olimpico and in some way we got a revenge as they beat us badly in the
first leg. We won thanks to Zarate`s brace, when he again displayed some [...]

I had no intention to post anything today as I am very busy at work and also, have many other
things to do. However, what strikes me is the following: the stubbornness by team president Claudio
Lotito in defending our coach Delio Rossi ! To me it became clear after 5-6 match days that Rossi
is no [..

I did not manage to watch the match, like the majority of Lazio fans. However, I am glad to do that
as long as we win. There was a funny live stream by a guy at Justin.tv. At one point, he even
showed his arse (hhahahaha). Never mind, since I did not watch the match and [...]

Like I mentioned in my last post, I no longer know what to expect from this Lazio team. In
this new year 2009, everything seems to go wrong. We can no longer create nor score. Like the
majority of you, dear Lazio fans, I am totally devestated. We expected much more this season, in
comparison to [..

Dear Lazio Fans and all readers of this blog. First of all I would like to appologize for being
abscent for far too much. I will explain what happened very shortly. I have been enrolled for a

I have received messages requesting from me not to write about yesterday`s match we lost to
Cagliari. And I am ready to comply with such a request, because there is little one can say about
that awkward match. First and foremost, I want the entire defense that started yesterday to sit on
the bench for the [.

Today at 3 PM we face Cagliari at Olimpico. Radu, who was suposed to play failed to recover from a
minor injury, so Delio Rossi will obviously field Kolarov. The same goes for Mourad Meghni, who
will be replaced by Stafano Mauri, to whom I wish to repeat his performance against Torino on
Thursady. The other [.

I usually don`t like to watch Coppa Italia matches, even when Lazio plays. However, last night I
had decided to watch the match against Toro and I did not regret to say the least. I was surprised
to see Ledesma, Rocchi, Zarate, starting as I expected them to rest. That meant that Delio Rossi
took [.

Through its web page, Chievo Verona just announced to have signed on loan our forward Stephan
Makinwa. You can read here the official announcement. With the arrival of Zarate and Simone Inzaghi
scoring 2 important goals for us, Makinwa became out of favor and lost that status as Delio Rossi`s
option for our attack.

Tonight we play Torino for the third quarter final match of the Coppa Italia. Sampdoria beat
Udinese 4-1 after penalties while Inter last night kick out rioma 2-1. The fourth match is between
Napoli and Juve, to take place on 4 Feb. Delio Rossi is most probably making some changes. Muslera,
De Silvestri, Siviglia, Kolarov, Matuzalem, [.

Sorry once again for the lack of match preview. I have been pretty busy once again with work and
other private staff. Juve will most probably miss some important players like Chielini, Camoranesi,
Buffon, Grygera, Salihamidzic for various reasons. Lazio on the other hand will have all the team
available and I expect the following formation: Carrizo: Lichtsteiner, [.

Another quick post, just to congratulate all Lazio fans on our 109-th birthday. Lazio was born on

The match just ended. What is seemed a totally predictable draw due to Palermo`s way of playing,we
somehow managed to grab 3 points and win after 5 weeks,. Tommy Rocchi, who entered for Zarate

Just when I though Delio Rossi has done with his (unproven and unreasoned) experiments, he strikes
again. He fielded against Udinese a 4-4-2 with Belleri as a RB and Simone Del Nero as a left

but certanly not [.
