According to an article on the Estado de Sao Paulo newspaper, the president of the Brazilian
Footbal Confederation (CBF) admitted some of the players in the National squad were involved in
heavy drinking during the 2006 World Cup, played in Germany. Mr. Ricardo Teixeira explained to the
newspaper some of the reasons why he thought the team played so poorly during the competition.

A full force Swiss squad featuring Alexander Frei and Tranquillo Barnetta will be in Vienna
tomorrow evening to welcome the La Roja of Chile to their UEFA 5-star rated Ernst Happel Stadium.
The Chileans will feature former Juventus player and all-time top goalscorer, Marcelo Salas, who
hasn't played for his country for over two years. From the looks of their roster, it looks like
he's going to need to score a couple of more if they are to have a shot at making this a decent
match because the rest of the squad has a combined total of 21 career international goals, 14 less
than Salas.

It has to stop. The booing of Frank Lampard just has to stop. I'm sorry England fans but, if you
are one of the fans up there booing super Frank you should be ashamed of yourself.
I have never booed my national team and let me tell you there have been times when the U.S have
deserved it, but i think its disgusting that you are booing a player who has in the past
represented your country so well.
I've been listening to 606 and a lot of Tottenham fans don't seem to be to happy with Juande Ramos
being chosen as Martin Jol's replacement.
My question is this is he a good choice for Tottenham?I think he is a great choice for
Tottenham.
A lot of Spurs fans are disappointed that Jurgen Klinsman was not chosen as manager, but i think
Junade Ramos is a better manager than Klinsman.

It turns out some of the Brazilians from their World Cup squad might have enjoyed a bit too much
liquid courage during their stay in Germany. Ricardo Teixeira, the President of the Brazilian
soccer federation, has admitted that a group of players often returned to the hotel drunk between 4
and 6 in the morning on the days between matches.
Although he didn't name any players that were drinking, he did lay heavy into Ronaldo.
