Having just watched the engrossing documentary, "Marley", it is worth remembering how much the
beautiful game meant to the legendary reggae singer and cultural figure.
Despite hailing from the cricket-loving Jamaica,
Bob Marley played football almost as much
as he played music and was never far from a ball and a kickabout with his friends.

The Scottish Football Blog has often been facetious about the Methuselah of Scottish football.
Unfair that. Davie Weir was playing at the highest level in Scotland in his 40s and I'm often too
lazy to play dominoes in my 30s.
Perhaps unsurprisingly Weir and Rangers will part company this week.
Seem to be drowning in video posts at the moment.
But it would be difficult to let Ronaldo's retirement (the Ronaldo - very young children,
ask your parents) go unmentioned.
He was quite ugly, he took a funny turn before the World Cup final, he called his son Ronald and he
was the best player Bobby Robson ever worked with.
