Last summer I wrote a post about ‘Arsenal's Best Transfer News Ever'. The point of that piece
was to determine which piece of transfer news was the most exciting when it was announced,
regardless of how that player went on to perform for the club.

This week's episode of Friday Flashback Videos features a very rare video of a Manchester City
from 1968 against the Atlanta Chiefs played at Atlanta's Fulton-County Stadium, home to the
baseball team the Atlanta Braves.
The friendly match was played just a few weeks after Manchester City had won the league
championship under manager Malcolm Allison.

Manchester City's Italian striker Mario Balotelli did his talking on the pitch as his died
romped to a 6-1 home win over city rivals Manchester United in the league last night.
Balotelli who earlier on Saturday made the news for setting his house on fire, was literally on
fire for the blues as he scored 2 goals that helped Roberto Mancini's side move 5 points clear at
the top of the Premier League table.
For those amongst you that hadn't noticed, England beat Spain, the current World and European
champions, by a single goal in an international friendly match at Wembley over the weekend. The
celebrations were tempered Spain haven't given the impression of taking friendly matches very
seriously of late and played poorly but there will always be a small corner of England that will be
forever triumphalist, and some may be tempted to start believing that England are now capable of
winning next summer's European Championships.
Hyundai A-League champions Brisbane Roar finally lost their unbeaten record this season when
going down to a 2-0 reverse at the hands of Sydney FC today.
Two goals in the opening twenty minutes of the match put paid to Brisbane's chances of victory
today but the Roar still top the standings with a three point margin separating them from nearest
challengers Central Coast Mariners.
