Could 1860 Munich and U.S. international forward Kenny Cooper be on his way to the Coca-Cola
Championship before the transfer window closes? That is a distinct possibility according to his
agent, who says Plymouth Argyle are interested in arranging a loan deal for the former FC Dallas
big man. Cooper is said to be responsive to the idea in hopes of improving his chances of making
the Americans' 2010 World Cup squad.
Former FC Dallas striker Kenny Cooper could be on his way back to Major League Soccer this summer,
according to a report in the German publication Bild. With prospects of getting meaningful playing
time for 1860 Munich fading, Cooper is allegedly interested in returning to the United States to
get his career back on track.
Bayern Munich to send 1860 into administration?
Disturbing news filtered through to EFW Towers today that 1860 Munich look set
to face administration due to a farcical situation with their tenants Bayern Munich. We immediately
reached for the phone to dial up our good friend and 1860 fan Michael Stoffl who takes up the
story:
Today our very popular 1860 chairman Manfred Stoffers resigned just one day after the club lost
a decisive court case against FC Bayern.

Kenny Cooper could be coming home this summer to Dallas. Take note in the emphasis.
A couple different outlets are reporting that the former FC Dallas striker could be set to leave
Europe and head back home to MLS. A move that wouldn't shock me in the least bit if it goes
down.
To my disappointment, the transfer rumours are drying up. Premier league clubs are pre-occupied
trying to win football matches while busy journalists just don't seem to have the time to make-up
Gary Cahill being ‘linked' with Inter, or of Brett Ormerod ‘impressing' Bayern Munich.
Personally, I think the Premier League should spice up the transfer window to make things a bit
more interesting.

If you were hoping for the United States to beat out a host of other candidates, including

According to FIFA president Sepp Blatter, a plan is in the works to guarantee 2018 going to one
of the several European countries bidding for the World Cup.

Kenny Cooper, who has been sidelined with an injury since
November, is apparently pining for a loan deal to English Championship side Plymouth Argyle. So
says a report in Germany's kicker magazine. At issue is playing time--or lack of it--as the former
FC Dallas striker hopes to win a spot in Bob Bradley's U.
American striker Kenny Cooper has been loaned by 1860 Munich to Plymouth Argyle of England's
Coca-Cola Championship. So he has moved from second division Germany to second division England in
hope of playing time and a shot at the World Cup squad. I hope this works out for him, because I
still think he's a better option up front than some of the players Bradley has been calling in.
Where there's smoke, there's (sometimes) fire. 1860 Munich have agreed to loan Kenny Cooper to
Plymouth Argyle, the German club announced Jan. 28. The move follows speculation in German and
English press by mere hours.

Dallas star has expressed optimism that the move will be a positive one for his career and is

I've never quite understood the whole 'centenary' or 'anniversary' kit business. Sure, celebrating
a birthday is nice, but most clubs and their kit makers spend have their designing lives trying to
pay homage to the past anyway, so it all gets a bit redundant. And then a bit more redundant. They
should celebrate big birthdays [.

Rumour No. 1: Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is reportedly

the visibly dejected midfielder.

Patrick Helmes Impresses In Leverkusen's 11–1 DFB Pokal Victory.
Saturday's DFB Pokal games saw a few interesting results and a few shocks as well. Today's
matches saw Bundesliga newcomers St. Pauli drop out of the competition early, which certainly
doesn't suggest much heading into a Bundesliga season where they are one of the favourites for
relegation.
Jong Tae Se appears to be an instant hit as the first North Korean in professional German
football.
Jong, 26, struck twice as VfL Bochum opened their second-division campaign on Monday night with
a 3-2 victory over 1860 Munich. Until then, he was known in Germany for crying during his country's
anthem ahead of the World Cup match against Brazil two months ago.
We'll never forget the events that occurred nine years ago on this day. Though life (and
football) goes on, try to take a second and remember how 9/11 impacted your life. If you're like
New England Revolution and former US Men's National Team striker Taylor Twellman then you were in
Germany training with 1860 Munich dealing with the disrespectful nature of your teammates
properly.
