It has been said that the 12th man is like an endangered species in modern football. This
weekend I waxed un-poetically about the legacy of Liverpool fans and the famous atmosphere they
create at Anfield and when they travel on the road.
This year's Champions League group stages get underway next week, but Spurs fans have been left
in a bit of a pickle. Can they enjoy the experience of seeing their side compete against Europe's
elite clubs, or will the desire to win turn it into a nerve racking experience?
With the group stages throwing Spurs right in at the deep end of top level European football,
supporters could be forgiven for wanting an easier introduction to the competition.
Many moons ago, I bought an NUFC 12th Man Membership, with the theory being that I could actually

Turkish "SPORTOTO" Super League will start the fifth week with a bang and will end the weekend on
Monday with a bang too!
