Their Words "We are delighted to announce that Tuesdays game is Sold Out. Now as the anticipation
builds we look forward to our orange clad 12th Man helping to push the team to an important
victory." Carolina RailHawks president Curt Johnson. Other Sources The U.S. national team is up
next for Fulham's Clint Dempsey but more could be on the way - from The Washington Post's Steven
Goff: "You can't believe all the speculation.
As part of the unedifying spectacles of Manchester United frequently playing with a 12th man,
Anthony Taylor referees this afternoon's game at Wolverhampton.
Mr Taylor is from Manchester.
So he's either a Red or a Blue.
Half-time: Wolves 0 Man Utd 3 (Wolves 3 fouls - one sending off and one booking plus Jarvis denied
a penalty; Man Utd 5 fouls - no bookings).
Eighteen years after eighteen of Zambia's footballers were killed off the coast of Libreville,
Stippola Sunzu scored the eighteenth penalty of a marathon shootout to win his country their first
ever Africa Cup of Nations.
During the shootout the Zambian players could be heard indulging in communal singing in support
of their team-mates as they faced the dreaded walk to the penalty spot.
With the NBA schedule in fult tilt since Christmas, the season has never seemed this action-packed.
The reason is because the games are coming closer together and delivered faster to consumers.
There is more back-to-back scheduling for teams than other years, meaning they play two nights in a
row and some back-to-back-to-back, meaning they play three nights in a row at times throughout the
season, as well.
Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich angered their supporters yesterday with news that they would be
making a spectacular signing before the transfer window closed only for the fans to later find out
that it was a marketing gimmick.
Apparently, Bayern was trying to gain interest for their new app by creating intense speculation
as to who the signing would be.
High up on the list of things no to do with football fans is to promise the unveiling of a big
new signing and then fail to follow through. Worse is to promise a big signing and then come
through with someone who won't even find the end of the bench on the reserves. Like Bayern did this
afternoon, requesting their fans tune into an official press conference to unveil the signing,
which turned out to be the photo of the fan who'd logged in via facebook.
This weekend is crucial to all the top teams in the Premiership and the winners will be counting
their blessings, while the losers will be rueing an opportunity lost. Man City face Tottenham and
the winners will have a great boost to their title hopes, while Arsenal face Man Utd who also can't
afford to [.
After mix-up in the air Stoke City finally made to Istanbul late on Tuesday night!
They landed at the wrong airport .....
Stoke City's plane ended up on the Asian side of Istanbul Sabihan Gokcen airport rather than the
European side,Ataturk International airport!
I'm starting to think I'm missing out on something. Is there a big party that everyone goes to?
Something exciting on the telly? Or perhaps it's a free goodie bag for the first 10,000 on to the
tube?
It's an age old moan but I am going to go on about it again. Just what is people's (I'm refusing
to call them fans) excuse for leaving Arsenal games at the Emirates early?
Molby: 12th man crucial
Jan Molby is convinced Anfield's famous 12th man can play a role in helping Liverpool to pass
what he regards as their toughest test of the season so far.

Sweet FA intelligence The magic of the FA Cup should ensure that fans of non-league clubs rally
round to create an intimidating atmosphere for their opponents, helping to establish the 12th man
mentality. However, fans of Newport County did the opposite thing whilst watching their side lose
out to Shrewsbury Town yesterday lunchtime.
One very creative LA Galaxy fan must have gotten the thrill of their life, when Landon Donovan
retweeted this. Kudos for their superior jack-o-latern carving skills. Happy Halloween from the
12th Man Blog.
Martin Kelly has handed Liverpool a welcome boost ahead of Saturday's clash with Manchester United
by declaring himself fit for the north-west derby.
The young defender was sent back to Melwood last week by the England under-21s having complained
about tightness in his groin.
Since then, however, Kelly has been able to train for Liverpool and will be available for selection
when Kenny Dalglish choses his starting XI.

Napoli qualified for this season's UEFA Champions League by finishing third in Serie A.
To prepare for Euro 2012, I am running this occasional feature. Last time, based on a previous
poll, we discussed hypothetical if not downright ridiculous ideas for training techniques. This
time, we are bringing it closer to home, as we discuss what the fans can do to solidify their
places as the 12th man, thus helping their teams to victory.

Multi-racial Malaysia, with an estimated population of 27.5 million and with a total landmass of
329,847 square kilometers, is a footballing mad nation.
Sporting KC's sparkling new stadium was more than they could have hoped for, the game, however,
didn't go exactly as planned. Sporting KC and the Chicago Fire played to a 0-0 draw with missed
calls and blown opportunities for both teams.
The crowd was standing and cheering long before the match started and they stayed loud
throughout.
"It's unbelievable — unbelievable. You have to come here and play to the field, but the
atmosphere is unbelievable. If you can step away and look at it from a league perspective — what
a great place, what a great environment, and what a great job the owner and the whole franchise
have done to create a great atmosphere.
Tiki-taka vs ???
There are factors beyond the individuality of players that shouldn't go unrecognized. And this
Champion's League final offers a good backdrop for illustrating the point.
Barca has the support of an entire philosophy behind them. A very clear and precise way of
playing that has been engrained and rehearsed over years into oblivion.
Pizza The Hutt - Head of MLS RefereesMmm, wet Pizza Hut. The Texan weather god (I
think his name is Jeb) decided to make Toronto FC feel at home by absolutely ruining FC Dallas'
home pitch with a day full of wind, rain and other biblical misfortune. Seriously, that's downright
BMO-like.
Reports today claim that Flamengo president Patricia Amorim has revealed that Manchester United
have agreed to sign 16-year old midfielder Adryan.
After impressing during the South American Under-17 Championship, scoring in their 4-3 win over
Venezuela, their 2-1 win against Chile and 3-1 win over Ecuador, United invited Adryan to come to
Carrington on trial.
Fire's Jalil Anibaba -- Getty ImagesIn soccer circles, the home fans represent the 12th man on the
pitch. From the Chicago Fire's standpoint, they had a partially direct impact toward the Fire's
game-winning goal.
With the smoke still clearing from some previously lit flares close to the Colorado Rapids goal,
Fire right defensive back Jalil Anibaba cracked a shot from more than 40 yards out, finding the
back netting during Chicago's 2-1 victory over Colorado in a Lamar Hunt U.
Feb. 28, 2001. The day the pendulum swung towards the United States in their most heated and
longstanding rivalry. The day fans of the U.S. National Team showed what the 12th man could mean in
a match against Mexico, and braving sub-freezing temperatures to do it. The day a young striker
from Stone Mountain, Georgia, was deputized into action after a Columbus Crew legend went off due
to injury in the first quarter hour, and turned in one of the performances of his career.

Liverpool youngster Martin Kelly believes he cam become a mainstay in the Reds first team for many
years to come after enjoying a breakthrough season at Anfield.
Kelly, 20, displaced England international Glen Johnson as Liverpool's first-choice right-back
under former boss Roy Hodgson and has retained that position under Kenny Dalglish, with Johnson
forced to play out of position at left-back under the Scot.
Arsenal travelled to Yorkshire yesterday, for the battle with Leeds Utd, It was always going to
be a intense atmosphere but Arsenal eased through the game playing the quick passing that sliced
through Leeds Utd's defence. Samir Nasri opened the scoring with a cool finish from around 12
yards, Arsenal then went 0-2 up Bacary Sagna hitting a powerful strike that rippled into the top of
the net, Nicklas Bendtner played a part in the goal playing a neat one-two with Nasri and driving
through the Leeds defence, Bacary Sagna then put Arsenal two goals to the good.
I really don't like Stoke fans. They will put that down to successfully achieving their status
as wind up merchants but it's so far removed from that. Fans come to Old Trafford every week
thinking they're clever singing "we support our local team", as if they were the ones that made it
up, as if we've never heard it before, and as if it bothers in the slightest, whether a red from
Manchester, the North West, down south, Ireland or anywhere else.
