As the transfer rumour season gets under way, the press is busy slaughtering us for our lack of
activity.
Well let's look at what has happened so far.
Liverpool have spent £20M on an England u-21 international, a player who is not as good as
either Wilshere or Ramsey, so what did they expect us to do, spend money for the sake of spending
money?
It's not time to panic, the transfer window does not officially open until 1st July, the season
only finished 4 weeks ago, however, signs of a busy summer as stated by both Arsene Wenger and Ivan
Gazidis, we not seen.
Matters started well with Arsenal rumoured to have agreed a deal for Argentine winger Ricardo
Alvarez.

Liverpool's pursuit of Sunderland's Jordan Henderson has an unwanted side-effect Sunderland are
set to use the funds to bring in the Manchester United trio of John O'Shea, Darron Gibson and Wes
Brown (collectively priced at 12m) while Manchester United are not only cutting down on their wage
bill but also using the Sunderland (Liverpool) funds to pay for their 16m acquisition of Blackburn
defender Phil Jones, ironically a player that Liverpool had been chasing (as well as Arsenal and
Tottenham).
The news today is that Newcastle have been quoted a fee from Wigan of £12M for for former Magpie
winger Charles N'Zogbia. Charles N'Zogbia is he worth £12M? Wigan have a bit of a cheek, and we're
not sure if it's even legal but they have said they will sell Charles for £9M [...]

The transfer window still doesn't officially opens across Europe until July first. In England it
actually opened at midnight on the day the domestic season ended. Either way, there are always
pre-agreements to be made and fees agreed, and all because most players a club might be after
couldn't officially be transfered for another month doesn't mean nothing can happen.
Internacional President Giovani Luigi has confirmed that they have received a concrete offer
from Spurs of €12m for national team striker Leandro Damiao.
"It was the first concrete offer that we have had. I said I do not want to sell right now, but I
think they will come back again with a new proposal soon.
Liverpool is facing a battle with Serie A club Lazio for the signature of Lyon star Miralem
Pjanic.
TalkSPORT have claimed Anfield boss Kenny Dalglish made an approach to Lyon earlier this month
regarding the availability of Pjanic but so far little progress has been made.
Dalglish is still thought to be interested in the 21-year-old Bosnia & Herzegovina international
but he will now have to move quickly with Lazio now registering their interest.
Reports claim that Birmingham have a bid accepted for Robbie Keane of £4m, which could
potentially rise to £6m.
Considering Keane's age, it seems likely that Spurs receiving the full fee of £6m could be
dependent on Birmingham staying up this season, rather than being based on the usual factors, such
as appearances, goals or international appearances.
I was planning on leaving this until after the transfer window had shut but to be honest I'm
sick and tired of reading, writing and talking about what stadium we might be playing in come 2016
or whatever date it ends up being. I'm sure I'm not the only one. It's important of course but the
longer it goes on and the more talk there is the closer I feel like I support a company and not a
football club.
In the wake of Blackpool's rejection of Liverpool's second official bid for midfielder Charlie
Adam, the player's father, also called Charlie, has branded his son's team "cheap-skates" for
saying no to the bid.
Liverpool's second offer is believed to be around the £6.5 million mark, around £2.
Fernando Torres £50m (Last played well before the summer. Has 9 goals in 23
league games this season)
Andy Carroll £35m (11 goals in 20 games so far this season. During his last stint
in the Premier League, he scored 3 goals in 14 games)
David Villa £34m (scored an average of 0.
While some of the Premier League clubs went crazy in the January transfer window, for the most
part most clubs across Europe did very little business in January. Whether it was because of the
current economic conditions across Europe, or because of the new UEFA Fair Play rules, most
European clubs went for small purchases in Janaury.
As reported in The Mirror this morning, it seems that Chelsea have made their first move to bring
Gregory van der Wiel to Stamford Bridge as a possible replacement for Jose Bosingwa. The report
states that Chelsea would be willing to part with £12m to get their man and discreet enquiries
have been made between Chelsea, Ajax and the players representatives last weekend.
It's time to welcome another new face to Twohundredpercent. This week, Luke Edwards explains
how he has fallen out of love with the Premier League and sought solace in what may well really be
The Biggest Football League In The World.
You hear time and time again from pundits and media alike that, "the Premier League is the best
in the world", and this is a comment that is seldom challenged in the mainstream media.
Liverpool look to have made a €13M bid for Fiorentina's left winger Juan Manuel Vargas. Reports
from Italy suggest the Reds have contacted La Viola to put forward what they hope will be an
attractive offer for the Peru international.
However, Vargas is highly rated by Fiorentina and the 27-year-old is valued substantially higher by
the Serie A side, meaning Liverpool will likely have to improve on their current bid should they
wish to bag the player this summer.
There have consistently been Arsenal transfer rumours around linking the Bolton defender Gary
Cahill with the Gunners, and the price has been variously quoted as anything from between £12m and
£25m, which could simply depend on how many clubs are interested in buying him. Tottenham and Man
City have both been reported to be interested [.
Kevin Gameiro is the latest name to be linked with a move to Tottenham in the summer and it's
believed that Harry Redknapp and Kevin Bond have both watched the Lorient player in action.
Gameiro is 24 and after a slow start in French football with Strasbourg, he moved to Lorient in
2008 where he averages just under a goal every other game.
Tottenham's latest target Leandro Damiao has received a glowing endorsement from his fellow
Brazilian Sandro as Spurs may be set to battle it out with Barcelona for his signature.
Leandro is still only 21 and has just made his debut for the full Brazilian side yet his
performances for Internacional have made Barca take notice.
It seemed a foregone conclusion that England Under-21 international Connor Wickham was heading
to Anfield this season. Liverpool had been linked with Wickham for months, but while they haggled
over his price with Ipswich, Steve Bruce swooped in and grabbed the Ipswich striker for a fee in
the region of£8.
Liverpool will follow up the signing of Charlie Adam with an improved offer for Stewart Downing -
but they still face a fight to persuade Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish to sell the England
winger.
Villa turned down Liverpool's opening £15m bid and BBC Sport understands they are refusing even to
consider a price for Downing, despite speculation that they will sell for £20m.
Liverpool is considering a bid for highly-rated Lyon winger Michel Bastos.
The 27-year-old Brazilian say a proposed deal to Juventus collapse and now Liverpool are prepared
to meet the £12m asking price for the player.
Bastos can play on the left-wing or at left-back, two positions Reds boss Kenny Dalglish is eager
to strengthen ahead of next season.

FC BARCELONA sold its "son" to AC ROMA for 12M€ with a contract clause of a buy back in 2 years,

As we approach the Emirates Cup and Wenger's self -imposed timescale for transfers, there are
favourable rumblings.
One of Spain's leading sports newspapers Marca is quoted as saying that Arsenal are close to
finalising a deal for the Valencia winger Juan Mata. The deal is being held up as Tottenham,
surprise, have launched a late bid.
Liverpool Eye Sebastian Coates
Liverpool are eyeing a move for Club Nacional defender Sebastian Coates, according to several
sources including the Telegraph and the Mirror . The Reds require reinforcements at the back having
agreed a deal to sell Sotirios Kyrgiakos to Wolfsburg earlier this week.
Less than 90 minutes to go! Does Arsenal have the will and the willingness to splash the cash to
end strongly? Mikel Arteta back on again with Jack Wilshere driving the negotiations it appears

Btw, why can't all these negotiations be driven through Twitter? No need for reporters then.

In a summer full of rumours that Raul Meireles was on his way out, there was always an
assumption that that exit was being sought by the club. Even though Liverpool made signals that
they wanted to keep the player, rejecting out of hand multiple bids while including the Meireles in
games where those out of favour were left to sit in the stands, those rumours just wouldn't go
away.
It would not be a transfer deadline without a surprise Liverpool and Chelsea deal. In January it
was Torres going to Chelsea and this transfer window is was the sale of Raul Meireles to Chelsea
for around £12m, who has signed at four-year deal with Chelsea.
Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas worked briefly with the Portugal international at Porto before
Meireles moved to Anfield last August.

The Best and Worst deals of the Transfer Window - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
As the summer transfer window has now finally closed and viewing figures of Sky Sports News go
back to normal levels, I think it's time to look back at the best and worst of the deals done
involving English Premier League sides.
Liverpool flop Ryan Babel has blamed the Anfield club's training regime for his poor form in
England.
The Dutch forward arrived on Merseyside in 2007 with a growing reputation and a hefty £12m price
tag.
But the 24-year-old scored just 12 goals in his four years at Liverpool and was sold to Hoffenheim
in January.
David Moyes: Liverpool have spent considerably more money than Everton
• Kenny Dalglish's net spend of £110.7m dwarfs Moyes's • Manager fears Everton may never
match rivals financially As David Moyes prepared for his 21st Merseyside derby he said it was now a
contest sharply divided by money.
With Barcelona linked with a surprise move for Chelsea star Ashley Cole, it may seem that the
time may be right for Roman Abramovich to cash in on his controversial left back and reinvest the
profit in his team.
Cole's time at Stamford Bridge has been extremely successful, but with the former Arsenal player
turning 31 just before Christmas, and out of contract in 2013, the financial benefits of a move
should not be lost on the Chelsea board.
Since returning to Anfield, Kenny Dalglish has spent more than 100m on new players. Which, if any,
of these players could be sold at a profit for Liverpool in the future?
One of FSG's goals is to buy young players with a view to increasing their value over the duration
of their contracts, with Liverpool (hopefully) benefiting in the meantime.
