According to reports Brendan Rodgers is preparing to offer Scotland midfielder Charlie Adam to
Fulham in order to sign Clint Dempsey.
The Reds have been keen on signing the American International but have been unable to agree a
deal with Fulham, who value Dempsey in the region of £10million.
According to reports in Spain's most read newspaper, Marca, Liverpool have approached Fernando
Amorebieta's representatives to express "a serious interest" in signing the Athletic Bilbao centre
back.
The Venezuelan international is currently under contract with the Basque club until June 2013, so
they will now have to decide whether to renew his contract this summer or risk him leaving for free
in a year's time.
Liverpool is believed to have approached Fulham about the possibility of signing goal-scoring
midfielder Clint Dempsey before the start of the new season.
Dempsey was the top scoring midfielder in the Premier League last season as he scored 23 goals in
total and it seems he has suitably impressed new Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers.
New Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has now missed out on signing Glyfi Sigurdsson after the
midfielder completed his switch to Tottenham, so should the club now turn their attention to
Fulham's own goal-scoring midfielder Clint Dempsey?
There have been reports that Liverpool are preparing an offer in excess of £10million for the
American who last season was the top scoring midfielder in the Premier League with 17 goals.
Wigan Athletic winger Victor Moses has claimed both Liverpool and Chelsea are chasing his signature
this summer.
Moses admitted he was unsure over where his future lies – he has just a year left on his contract
at Wigan – but indicated he would be willing to move to either Anfield or Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt could be in line for a shock Anfield departure during the January
transfer window with Galatasaray showing an interest, according to reports in The Metro.
Since arriving at Liverpool from Feyenoord for £10million in 2006, Kuyt has been one of the key
players for the Anfield outfit.
Why David Moyes might have already made THE deal of the January transfer
window
No matter how many astute signings are made during next month's transfer window, I doubt any
will be more effective than the loan deal Everton have just tied-up with Landon Donovan. But if
Everton are to make genuine progress, David Moyes needs to be handed a big chunk of the £10million
Mikel Arteta fee that sneaked into the bank on the final day of the last transfer window, to bring
in the striker they desperately need.
Liverpool is leading the hunt for Blackburn's defensive colossus Chris Samba.
The ambitious Rovers star has switched agents after failing to secure a move away from Ewood Park
last summer.
And Liverpool have been alerted to the fact he remains keen on leaving the struggling Ewood Park
club.
Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt is expected to leave Anfield with Italian giants Inter Milan reportedly
interest.
According to reports in Italian publication Mediaset, Inter failed with a move for the Dutch
international 18 months ago, but Kuyt has dropped down the pecking order at Liverpool with Andy
Carroll and Luis Suarez now ahead of him.
Liverpool is ready to offer Fulham cash and Charlie Adam in an attempt to wrap up a deal for Clint
Dempsey.
After concluding a move for Joe Allen, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers will now step up his attempts
to land the American international, who is keen to leave Craven Cottage for a bigger club.

Huge day for Stole City as they spent around £20million, including a club-record fee of

On the day that a report of Andre Villas-Boas being informed that he'll get the sack if Chelsea
are knocked out of the Champions League by Napoli, Jose Mourinho used his international break to
"secretly" visit London with his wife. According to tabloid trinity of The Mirror, The Sun and AS

pick out a new home in preparation for their supposedly inevitable departure from Madrid this
summer.
Charlie Wyett in The Sun today has come up with what would be a gem of a transfer story, if true
of course. According to the shaggy-haired journo, the fleet-footed Walcott is a target for none

Arsene Wenger goes in to today's FA Cup clash knowing that realistically it is the only trophy
that can end our seven-year silverwear drought. That's probably why he is set to start RVP up front
against Alex McLeish's men at the Emirates.
But as you would ecpect given the lack of success at the club of late, AW is also eyeing new
talent for the future.
Arsene Wenger is said to be set to go back in to take Fiorentina's Juan Manuel Vargas to
Arsenal in the January window.
The Mirror reports that AW was interested in versatile Vargas in the summer, but decided he
wanted to continue to scout him this season.
Peruvian hardman Vargas, 27, can play left back, left midfield or central midfield and the
Gunners face competition from Juventus for his signature, which would cost in the region of
£10million.
