Con un agónico gol anotado en los descuentos, el Real Salt Lake logró clasificar por primera vez en su historia a los playoffs de la Major League Soccer al empatar 1-1 ante el Colorado Rapids.

Tan sólo un empate le bastaba al equipo del Real Salt Lake para clasificar a la liguilla y como el partido se jugaba en su nuevo estadio, la tarea no parecía muy dificil.

Anyways, the Wizards are back home at Community America Ballpark to take on the Canadians, Toronto FC. The Wizards come in off the 2-0 win over LA, while Toronto comes in off of a home draw with top of the table Columbus.

Fire take title; lose to Rapids

Chicago defeated NY 1-0 at home last week on a goal by Stephen King in the 36th minute.
This is the Fire's 17th title and the 29th time they have won at home. They are also now the 5th team to win 10 challenges at home.

Next up for Chicago was a trip to Colorado. Until today it had been 16 games since the champion won the title and dropped it the next game.

TORONTO - Player-Owner Romerinho's return to the 2009 Pistolas FC roster is in doubt, after examining the '09 calendar and realizing he may miss between 6-9 weeks of the 16 week regular season due to International Duty.

Also, should the league decide to change its format regarding the number of games in the season, when the season begins, or whether or not one, two, or all long weekend games would be removed from the schedule as in other leagues, then that may affect his decision as well.

TORONTO - He got hurt in the 2008 preseason at BMO Field in Toronto. Running onto the pitch, his ankle rolled. He was never the same. But, being Ivano the "Raging Bull" Volpe, he roared on game in and game out playing through injury, and playing his game.

And he was effective. Playing through pain, he never showed it on the field, always charging, tackling, and dribbling the ball up the right flank, ever so often creating chances in the middle for the strikers.
