The Demize were shut out this evening, 2-0 by the undefeated KC Brass. The Demize love to

evening. The Brass took the lead in the 28th minute on a heads up play by their midfield leader,
Keith Gorczyca (Drake/MVC). While the Demize central defender was complaining about a non-call by
the sidelines, Keith sent Jimmy Cummings into the box essentially unmarked with a throw-in.

Real Madrid's 3-1 win tonight against Real Mallorca was a fairy tale ending to David Beckham's
career for the Spanish giants tonight. In what must be described as a simply spectacular match,
Real yet again came back from one goal behind to sneak the win. They've been doing it all season,
but this night meant more than any other.
While Beckham played his part in the match for the first 60 minutes, it was the player who was
substituted for him that took the glory and headlines: Jose Antonio Reyes, the Arsenal player,
scored two brilliant goals to ignite the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium and to bring the La Liga trophy
back home to the team in white.

Cobi Jones has battled hard this season for his squad, and every time I see him fight for the ball,
then pass to a teammate who promptly loses the ball, or make another quick run into space that
doesn't get spotted by any passers, I think about how he probably didn't expect things to end this
way. A lot of people are talking about how the Galaxy could ruin Beckham's first year by not making
the playoffs, but I think it would be a far greater shame to drop the ball so badly on Cobi's final
curtain call.

maestro Schelloto had one hell of a game with a goal and an assist while Robbie Rogers scored his
first MLS goal and then provided his first MLS assist on the game-tying goal.

The 204 Depot was in rare form Friday night during the Seattle Sounders match. I'm not sure if it
was the fact that their keeper had sucker-punched Dombrowski during the away leg, the national TV

section, but I thought we were the loudest and rowdiest we've been all season.

Real Madrid are deserved champions, but their administrative antics once again prove that there are

The majority of the world knows that Real Madrid will most likely hoist their first trophy in four

enough, they were the ones that wanted it a little bit more.

That's what Soccer By Ives is saying. I don't doubt Schelotto's claims that he spoke with the

But to say that Nicol didn't want a "skillful and dangerous left-sided player" because he decided

There may be other reasons that Nicol chose to not further pursue signing Guillermo Barros

Sometimes you wonder when you read (and when I write) this blog, but I really enjoy being a

think their model is pretty good: almost every game from U-little to adult gets three referees,
there's a consistent and improving training program, and we're made to feel as part of the USSF,
rather than just tolerated out of necessity (can you say "NFHS", boys and girls?
