Seeing as we are the home of MLS in the UK, we thought it only fitting to write an article about
arguably Britain's most beloved player, following his exploits during the MLS Playoff season. I
speak of course about the second most capped England player of all time, David Beckham.

No game for Philly so no blog for sam this week.
Thats right we are back and the converts are chomping at the bit to let you guys know how they have
been doing over the break and letting you guys know how much the MLS means to us all the way across
the water.
So without further hesitation here they are....
SAM BARKER(Philadelphia Union)
So I've not written anything, or followed the Union as well as I could have, for the past few
weeks.
SAM BARKER
(Philadelphia Union)
Okay, a lot to discuss this week. Firstly, I didn't know Nowak was having the Union team
take karate lessons, because the first two goals in the game against New England were some form of
ancient martial arts! Great to see players getting their first (of hopefully many more) goals
against what was a really weak, poor, rubbish, crap New England defence.
SAM BARKER
(Philadelphia Union)So after a crazy few weeks where I've not written anything for MLS UK, I'm stepping up to the plate
to grace you all with my thoughts on the Union. This week there has been absolute outrage, sadness
and despair at the loss of Jordan Harvey; a backbone of our defence.
Goalscorers Owen and Macheda celebrate during the win over Revolution.
Manchester United put on a second-half masterclass to defeat New England Revolution 4-1.
The hosts put up a strong showing against a strong United line-up in the first half, threatening to
go ahead several times and reaching the break all square.
Unlikely goalscorer Bingham mobbed by teammates.
The summer of MLS vs Premiership fixtures kicked off with success for North American clubs as San
Jose Earthquakes defeated West Bromwich Albion 2-1.
The Californian outfit went ahead in the most remarkable fashion just three minutes after kick off.
