When the Revolution open up their three-game season series with the Chicago Fire at Gillette
Stadium on Saturday night, a rivalry will be renewed.
Playing in tight and high emotion matches throughout the years in both the regular season and
playoffs, there may be no greater and more classic rivalry in Major League Soccer than that between
the Revolution and the Fire.

reporter who covers the Revolution's upcoming opponent to provide greater insight on what to expect
on gameday.
After each match the contributors to New England Soccer Today will rate the
performances of the United States National Team players who made an appearance on a 1 to 10 scale
(1 horrendous, 5 average, 10 perfection). This week Sean Donahue and Brian O'Connell contributed
ratings for the USA's 4-1 loss to Brazil.
Clinical finishing and superb goalkeeping proved to be the winning formula for Brazil as they
defeated the U.S. Men's National Team, 4-1, at FedEx Field in Landover, Md, on Wednesday night.
Brazil came out strong in the first half grabbing a 2-0 lead with goals from Neymar and Thiago
Silva before the U.
Every week the New England Soccer Today crew will look beyond the standings to rank each of
the 19 Major League Soccer (MLS) teams. This week Sean Donahue and Ryan Lanigan contributed
rankings. Comments are followed by the ranker's name and the rank they gave that team.

It was over. No one, in their wildest dreams, would've thought a 3-0 lead for the New England
Revolution with just nine minutes to play in overtime against the third division (USL Pro)
Harrisburg City Islanders wasn't safe.
The Mutiny announced on Tuesday that head coach Tony Horta has taken a leave of absence and
will be replaced by assistant coach Chris Legates.
According to a statement issued by the team, Horta has decided to leave for "personal reasons."
He guided the club from 2007-09 (25-11-3 overall) before returning to the team prior to the 2012
season.

In case you missed it, here's what happened over the weekend for New England's NPSL teams.
Saturday, May 26
In their first road game in franchise history, the Rhode Island Reds were rudely greeted by the
New York Red Bulls in a 6-0 loss at New Jersey Institue of Technology in Newark.
Yannick Kabala gave the Phantoms an early lead it would not relinquish in Saturday's 3-1 win
over the Ottawa Fury at Portsmouth High School.
Kabala (4′), Ryan Dunn (32′) and Dylan George (46′) all scored for the hosts while Alex
Rodriguez (34′) brought one back for the guests. Phantoms' keeper Colin O'Donnell faced seven

For the second time this season, the Revolution came up a goal short to D.C. in Saturday's 3-2

England's 2-2 draw with the Houston Dynamo.
It was same stuff, different night for Ryan Kinne on Saturday.
Twenty-four hours after he scored two in a 6-0 romp over Boston, Kinne collected two more in
the Azul's 4-0 victory over the Voltage at Pomperaug High School on Saturday.
Kinne, who scored twice in Friday's 6-0 rout of Boston, added two more to his account against
Vermont with strikes in the 53rd and 84th minutes.
SOMERVILLE, Mass. When Katie Schoepfer was substituted out of the game in the 70th minute of

Breakers solidified their place as the top team in WPSL Elite and extended their unbeaten streak to
four.
