Wayne Rooney has finally apologised to United fans for the way his contract talks went about last month. - The defense kept things neat and tidy at the back except for one or two occasions. Van der Sar didn't really have a lot to do with Wigan reduced to nine men and short of attacking options.

David Beckham

Leicester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson and West Ham manager Avram Grant are the two clubs tipped to sign former Manchester United star David Beckham on loan after England boss Fabio Capello let slip that the former Three Lions skipper could return to the Premier League.

Beckham could look to seal a mid-season loan deal back to Europe with the Premier League his likely destination after AC Milan ruled out re-signing the midfielder.
