Check out this new trailer that shows some of the momentum and contact physics in the 2012 title.
This new game is described as a major improvement over FIFA 11 so expect to be amazed. This is
just a first look but more info will be revealed soon. For now it is said that FIFA 12 will have
better defending, increased player control, and even player specific artificial intelligence.
Nike has been busy creating some really great kits for next season with recent debuts for
Barcelona, Manchester United, and Celtic. The sports apparel giant has been hard at work crafting
some memorable kits for the world's biggest clubs. Well now you can Paris Saint-Germain to the
mix as well. The French league powerhouse has an away jersey that anyone with a fashion sense
would be proud to
Nike has just unveiled the new Manchester United home jersey yesterday. The new kit is available
for pre-order now and will be in your local shop around June 3. I have to admit that Nike has
once again made a great looking kit. It looks just average when hanging up on a hanger but when
an actual player has the jersey on it looks fantastic.
This season may not have gone quite the way Cristiano Ronaldo would have hoped in terms of trophies
won but it still has been a great season for him with Real Madrid. The superstar forward talks
about his preparation before each game.
Check out this bad ass video by Adidas that shows Lionel Messi doing what he does best. He really
is a joy to watch for both club and country. Messi is the only player in the world who over
shadows Ronaldo and he has been doing it in quite a fashion this season. How is this for a stat?
In La Liga alone, Messi has played in 31 games and scored 31 goals.
So the PFA team of the year was announced last night after the PFA Player and Young Player awards
were handed out. As is the case every year there seemed to be a few disgruntled fans. Gareth
Bale scooped the big award while Jack Wilshire landed the young player award. Team of the year
was made up of players from only the top 5 teams in the standings.
I always get excited when the top European teams come to the United States for a summer tour. No
matter which team you support there is good football to be seen. I am particularly excited that
Manchester United is coming to the USA for the second year in a row. My only dilemma is which
city to see them in.
Dynamo's Hunter Freeman The Houston Dynamo took on the New England Revolution in the last match of
the Atlanta Pro Soccer Challenge. I had high hopes for this match because the Revolution were not
very good in their opening match against the Columbus Crew. The Dynamo, on the other hand, played
at an extremely fast pace and barely lost to the Crew 1-0.
I am a sucker for two things. A great idea and an awesome YouTube channel! Well Nike does both
of those things well. I found this video on Nike's channel where they came up with a way to
deliver both clean water and combine it with soccer. The gamechanger bucket program is starting
off in Haiti but will surely spread to other parts of the world.
Andres Mendoza scored the winner for the Columbus Crew as they downed the Houston Dynamo at
Kennesaw State University's Soccer Stadium in the second game of Aaron's Pro Soccer Challenge. In
comparison to Wednesday night's Columbus/New England exhibition, this match included much stronger
teams, as many first team players took part.
Both teams have had tough weeks. United have had back to back losses in the league for the first
time in over two years and Arsenal had their hearts broken by Barcelona and shocking refereeing.
To make matters worse both teams have sustained injuries to key players at one of the most
challenging parts of the season.
This is a pretty neat little video made by Adidas that shows what it means to be 100% Chelsea. In
the video, you will hear from some of your favorite footballers like Frank Lampard, John Terry, and
Petr Cech. Check it out. The video is well done I have to admit.
Columbus continued their preseason preparations with a comfortable 3 – 1 over the New England
Revolution last night at Kennesaw State University's Soccer Stadium. Judging by the weather, you
would have thought they were playing at Craven Cottage. Judging by the meager turn out, you would
have thought it was a high school match.
There must be something in the water. Is it me, or has there been some atrocious refereeing as of
late? Rooney's elbow on James McCarthy, Carragher's tackle on Nani, Bramble's two handed shove on
Arshavin, and Busacca's second yellow card on Van Persie – all examples of terrible refereeing
over the last week or so.
Atlanta is buzzing right now with the return of the Atlanta Silverbacks this summer. I am stoked to
have a team to support here locally and hopefully one day we will have an MLS franchise. But for
now, we take what we can get and what we have this week is Aaron's Atlanta Pro Soccer Challenge!
