By Pieter Brown - It's an end of an era for MiamiSoccerFan.com as we end a nice run here. We've had
some good times here at MSF with the birth of the Miami Ultras and plenty of cool interviews and
stories.
But don't be sad because we're moving to a bigger and better website, miamiultras.com. At
MiamiUltras.
After the Strikers played their best game this season with a 3-0 whipping of the Edmonton Drillers
we had our best show on Miami Ultras Alive#17.
We were extremely excited to have as our guest former Miami Fusion captain and current Fort
Lauderdale Strikers assistant coach Jim Rooney. Jim was a hard nosed blu-collar guy on and off the
field.
By Juan Ruiz (former Hincha Arrecho) - GRACE NOTE...As I settled yesterday Wednesday night (7/20)
into my ‘Control Throne' recliner chair for some quality time with my remote control, TV, and my
trusty laptop, my expectations were at a all time high: the determining game of who would dispute
in the Copa America finals was about to start, Sir Alex Furguson's magical mystery tour were set to
crack some Sounder skulls, José Mourinho's Merengues were gonna step on some Guadalajara
Cucarachas, Los Beckham's Galaxys were supposed to extend their unbeaten streak to thirteen games,
if you had the right cable carrier you could've checked out our very own (and star-studded)
Magicjack women's soccer team battle some wise-cracking mudders up in New York, and as if that
wasn't enough ladies and gents—our very own Ft.

Soccer Customer Service?
When the Ultra's asked me to write a regular column on their site I was worried that I wouldn't be
able to find enough material on a weekly basis about which to comment, especially on local issues.
However, now that I am wearing a columnist's fedora content seems to be not only dropping into my
lap, but slapping me in the face.
By Andrew Hazelton (Former Afusionado President) - Let's assume that today coach Darryl Shore puts
the hammer down and is able to transform this team into championship caliber. The Strikers play
beautiful attractive soccer, their offense scores golazo afer golazo, the defense becomes an
impenetrable curtain, and the Strikers play out the season undefeated culminating in a NASL
championship.
The Fort Lauderdale Strikers and Miami Ultras made it on CBS4's Sports Wrap. CBS was at Lockhart
Stadium recently to give some nice promotion for the red and yellow. Not only did the Strikers make
it on CBS4, but so did several Miami Ultras. Our own Chris Marrazzo did a very nice drunk
interview. CBS even talks about our own version of the Lambo leap.
In MUA#12 we said goodbye to the traitor that is Ignacio Rodriguez-Argote. Ignacio is leaving his
position as Strikers Media Relations & PR Manager and heading off to work for the hated Puerto Rico
Islanders.
Ignacio has been a friend to the Miami Ultras but that all came to an end on this episode of Miami
Ultras Alive.
If you missed last nights Miami Ultras Alive you MUST listen below. One of our best shows thanks to
Tim Robbie.
Fort Lauderdale Strikers President Tim Robbie talked for about an hour about the Strikers stadium
situation and the future of the team. Tim also broke the news on MUA#10 that Ottawa will be joining
the NASL.
By Pieter Brown - Thursday night the Miami Ultras held an emergency meeting to plan and discuss
what can be done to save Lockhart Stadium.
Recent reports came from the Sun Sentinel stating that the FAA wants all stadium revenue generated
by the school system and the Strikers going to the airport.
Fort Lauderdale Strikers #9 Abe Thompson was generous with his time and talked to Miami Ultras
Alive on our 9th show. Number 9 on MUA#9, coincidence...?
Abe scored his first Strikers goal this past weekend and celebrated with the fans in the stadium
and now on our internet radio show. Abe now has some good mojo coming his way.
By Juan Ruiz - GRACE NOTE...Let's ruminate a bit on the events that took place this past weekend:
Gloriously the ultimate European champion was crowned, on one of the world's biggest stadiums. Yes,
I'm referring about Pep Guardiola's Holy Eleven, yes the mighty mighty Barça of Spain took down
the Twelve time winner of the Premier League (well, since its inception in 1992) title: Oh hell
yeah, it's none other than the Red Devils themselves, Manchester United.
WOW, this was a great show! On this weeks Miami Ultras Alive we spoke to Fort Lauderdale Strikers
head coach Daryl Shore.
We didn't pull any punches, asked him what the heck is going on with the Strikers. Started out
telling him that 1-5-2 is not good enough. Coach Shore did a great job and made no excuses and
promised that they will do everything within their power to turn this team around.
By Mitch Rivera - MLS Futbolito is Major League Soccer's official 4 v 4 soccer tournament that
comes to town once a year. It's a day-long event offers food, music and fun activities for the
whole family, all alongside a fierce and fun soccer competition for all ages.
This year's edition of MLS Futbolito featured South Florida supporters the MIAMI ULTRAS, which were
grouped in the Adult Rec.
By Juan Ruiz - While the events caused by The Lovely Mother Nature, had the most negative effects
on the way the two sides were going to compete on the pitch Saturday (5/14) night. There were a few
instances where I was reminded why I should—HAVE to write something about this very important
matter: SAFETY in the Stadium.
By Pieter Brown - Saturdays epic Strikers vs. Rowdies game that was going to be played in front of
a huge crowd was rained out. The game was delayed over and over and over again until well after
10pm when they finally postponed, but don't blame it on the Strikers, blame it on the rain.
Rain poured down as most fans sought refuge under the grandstand, but not the Miami Ultras.
