I had
my rant after the game here which created a bit of a stir (rightly so, and
have had some time to think. As a result, I want to focus on the ONLY positive that came out of the
defeat at Everton and that was AVB's admission he got it wrong.
Now like I said in my rant, I have been a supporter of AVB from the moment we was announced as our
manager right up to the game yesterday, but as we all know, what I witnessed has changed my
opinion.
As you people know, I have been right behind AVB as our manager. I have said that it's a hard job
trying to regenerate this team and build something new. We have heard the saying a team in
transition alot this season but you need a base to build from and that base has to be a good team.
As it proved today Chelsea are NOT a good team.
We've had a week to digest
what happened against Manchester United. Plenty has
been said and written about last week but now is the time to look forward and focus on
Goodison.
Roman Abramovich has been at the training ground this week and it will be
interesting to see the level of performance from Chelsea today, to see if his presence has given
the players a kick up the arse to refocus their efforts on climbing up the table.
(Quote taken from the VladVideo Channel about this one)
"Think, Torres has been very unlucky since he joined to Chelsea, and I hope that the Chelsea fans
don't lose patience over him. I like this player, and this comp about him. Hope you'll like."
TheVladVideo Channel on Youtube.
Chelsea published their accounts yesterday and revealed that Chelsea had to pay £28m on "changes
in the first team management structure" by sacking Carlo Ancelotti and hiring Andre Villas-Boas as
his replacement which is just insane.
In addition to this, Football Finance Analyst Andy Green has calculated that Chelsea and Roman
Abramovich have paid out around £64m in the last four years on managerial changes alone!
Following on from my post that caused a stir (10,000 views alone) last week about Fernando Torres
(
Check it out if you haven't already here), here is a breakdown of his performance against
Manchester United.
Have a watch and give your view on how you think he did. If only he hit that ball first time after
heading it into his path inside the box in the second half!
Football, or soccer, is one of the most popular sports in the world, so naturally football betting
would be one of the most popular forms of sports betting around. Betting on various aspects of a
football game adds an extra dimension of suspense to the game, since you have a very real stake in
the outcome, win, lose or draw.
Isn't this a case of two plus two equals six here?? Surely the press have something better to do
than to carry on with the ridiculous articles about Roman turning up the heat on AVB by
attending training every day this week!
The next ridiculous rumour is that AVB is to be replaced by Fabio Capello "sooner rather than
later"!
Alot has been made of Chelsea's season so far and it's been mainly doom and gloom from the media,
press and some of our supporters hasn't it!.
On a positive note, we have all witnessed the arrival of Juan Mata and he has really made a
fantastic impression for someone who is in his first season in England.
Saturday is going to be a hard game, it always is at Goodison. Everton boosted by the signings of
Donovan, Gibson and possibly Jelavic making his debut will be up for this one after we beat them
earlier in the season at Stamford Bridge.
The big questions will be over AVB's team selection.
For someone who has been described this season as being controlled by a kid on a Playstation, David
Luiz has taken all the flack on the chin, concentrated on his game and for me, has got better. It's
almost as if someone has had a word with him and has asked him to concentrate recently on the
defensive side of his game.
...well that's according to our favourite newspaper the Daily Mail anyway!. Being a Chelsea fan,
hardly a day goes by without reading a ridiculous headline from this lot as they look to fill their
pages and websites with headlines to grab peoples attention with little basis for the story!.
In this instance, they claim the following:
Chelsea face a battle to keep Daniel Sturridge after Arsenal took significant steps
towards a shock summer swoop.
I wondered being honest, how long it would take until we heard from either Nico Anelka or Alex
after their departures from Chelsea back in last month's transfer window and it hasn't taken
long.
The Sun over here in the UK leads with an interview Anelka has given about the end of his Chelsea
career and claims he was left to rot with the reserves.
It's the CDS and is new from me to you the Chelsea fans all over the world. It's simple, I talk
about the Chelsea news of the day as featured on my blog!. Enjoy!

At last we hear that AVB has an angry side with his players aswell as the media!. Up till now we
have only seen his angered response to some lines of questioning during pre or post match press
conferences when speaking to the media or the written press. It seems as though he let the players
see the exact same side after defeat to United on Sunday.
