Hi all,
Welcome to the blog. My stomach feels a bit funny after one mammoth drive back to the big smoke.
It's probably not a good idea to drive for about seven straight hours to Perth in the middle of the
night.
But anyway, I'm temporarily back in town, and it is interesting to see the growing optimism in camp
Glory after Sunday's win.
Match Report | Highlights
So this is what it feels like to win in the first round.
Perth Glory thoroughly deserved to have the three points from yesterday but the 1-0 scoreline would
suggest it was a close thing.
In fact Glory were dominate for about three quarters of the game, mounting attack after attack -
like waves.
I think it's safe to say that everyone who is a fan of the round ball game would have been relieved
the season has finally started.
They say that idle hands are the devil's playthings, so with six months of nothing you can imagine
the crap that has happened.
At least we can now focus on the football.
Welcome to the blog for today folks.
Righto no small talk, no chit chat, here is the first advertisement for the No Guts, No Glory
campaign. It was finally released yesterday afternoon (Perth time). Have a gander:
So what do you think? Love you to throw in your two cents worth in the comments section as well as
vote in the poll question in the side bar.
Hi all.
Welcome to ze blog. In most parts of the world it would just be an ordinary, boring, if not
tedious, Monday morning.
But with the boys in blue and yellow getting deconstructed (you could happily substitute that with
either smashed, mauled, clawed or demolished) on Saturday, there's this concept of Mad Monday to
contend with.
Hi all and welcome to this brief blog.
Perth Glory take on Sydney FC in another friendly tomorrow. Both sides lost their previous games
(Perth lost to Central Coast, Sydney to Newcastle) and this will be a chance to see where they are
at.
Mostly it will be noteworthy because of Brett Emerton, though Fairfax's Michael Cockerill focused
his pre-game story on youngster Terry Antonis.
Hi folks,
Welcome back to the blog.
It's pretty clear what will be the gimmick of Perth Glory's new advertising campaign, thanks to a
couple of things released by the club this week.
The first photograph shows what's underneath the "No Guts, No Glory" purple shirt, while the
"leaked" CCTV footage also shows people with shirts on their head.
Hi everybody,
Welcome to today's blog. Did you all have a decent weekend?
FP was out on the track for the final day of the races in town. It seemed like a ridiculously
indulgent day full of booze, women and more booze. Hopefully your weekend was just as fun.
So Perth Glory lost 1-0 on the weekend to Central Coast Mariners with a former Glory boy scoring
the goal.
Morning,
Welcome to the blog on this glorious Friday. In the office there is this bloke who feels the need
to use this auspicious day to play that terrible song.
It was one of few pieces of music that was universal panned and it honestly could remove paint from
walls, if needed.
Morning everyone,
Welcome to the blog.
So yours truly did end up going to the races yesterday. There was the usual mix of frocks, shocks
and quite a few jocks.
A few people even got lucky with their horses and it seemed like a grand old time was had by all.
But lady luck was not smiling in this direction.
Morning all,
Welcome to the blog. In the real world (away from computers) there's supposed to be a horse race or
two in town today.
More importantly, FP is told, there is supposed some fine fashion on display. Offices in this town
are known to shut down for the afternoon, just so the ladies can get out there and enjoy the
festivities.
Hi folks,
Welcome back to the blog, and it has been a long, long time. A lot has happened since this blog was
last active, most it being very, very bad. What the hell has gone wrong?
Too much, and hopefully with a basically new team, that will change this season.
More on that in later blogs, but for now lets get into more current news.
While FP is getting mentally prepared to blog the next season for the A-League, there should
definitely be a quick mention of two Perth Glory pre-season games against State sides this
week.
The games will be played against Stirling Lions tomorrow (Wednesday, September 7) 7pm, at Macedonia
Park, Balcatta, and against Balcatta on Saturday 11am, at McGillivray Oval, Mt Claremont.
That's the question, yours truly has to figure out.
We have a new A-league season less a bit over a month away, and so, once again, FP has to figure
out whether he will blog it.
Decisions, decisions, decisions....
FP OFF-SEASON 1:
Hey guys, welcome back to the blog.
So this piece of literary work (as it was) did die after yours truly took up a gig someone in the
outback. Unfortunately, just like a cockroach in the aftermath of nuclear bomb, FP looks like it
will never die.
So hold tight while I make a few adjustments here and there, and FP will be back blogging.
