Another "official" World Cup song has been named by FIFA and this time it is from the Colombian
born singer Shakira. She was recently given the title of official song for the 2010 World Cup. In
fact, Shakira will perform the song with South African band Freshlyground at the World Cup. But if
you ask anyone else what the official World Cup song is for this year's event they will tell you it
is K'naan's "Wavin Flag".
A streaker and hot girls what else can you ask for in a soccer vid. The video is actually pretty
funny, it features a streaker foiling the keystone cops through out the football stadium. The video
appears to mix real footage with what must be staged footage or else this is the craziest streaking
prank ever caught on film.
With one of the best rock songs of all time as the featured track this video already wins with
me - but there are also great football being shown as well. The vid starts a little slow but just
like ACDC and the song "thunderstruck", it gets better as it goes along. Some highlights include
one of the best Beckham goals of his career and some great footwork displays by Ronaldo.
This UK advert for EA Sports features the likes of Wayne Rooney, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Jose
Bosingwa and Karim Benzema. Rooney with his British football swagger really stands out in the
commercial for me - I can picture him as some badass thug in a Guy Ritchie gangsta flick. The spot
also mixes real soccer action with clips from the video game, in fact the graphics are so
impressive I actually preferred them over the real thing.
With just over 30 days left until the 2010 World Cup the anticipation is palpable and this video
highlights some of the great football moments from FIFA's previous World Cup only 4 short years
ago. To get you in the mood the Las Vegas rock band The Killers deliver the perfect soundtrack with
their hit "All These Things That I've Done".
One of the great things about a FIFA World Cup are the beautiful women that the cameramen always
seem to pick out of the crowd, but then again there is no shortage of soccer hotties at a World Cup
event and I'm sure this year's crop in South Africa will be no exception. Can't wait for some new
compilations.
This one is for all the Lyon soccer fans who recently had their hearts broken with their loss to
FC Bayern in the semi finals for the UEFA Championship. The video was made by Thevy and features
the rock song "Same Old Song" by Pain. The song is hard and dark but really goes well with the
football images and Lyon's bad luck.
Here is a great new football anthem for English football fans around the world. The original
track "We Are England" by Hope Street Park is a catchy rock tune featuring John Motson and the boys
do a great job mixing their Brit swagger with recent English footy highlights. You can follow them
on twitter.
At the ripe old age of 38, Roger Milla emerged as one of the superstars of FIFA's 1990 World Cup
in Italy. Milla scored four goals in that World Cup and celebrated each goal with a dance around
the corner post. The soccer world never saw anything like it and it has changed that way football
players celebrate goals ever since.
Even though Manchester United and FC Barcelona will not be meeting in the UEFA Champions League
Final this year, they are still considered the two biggest football clubs on Earth with each
boasting to have the best players in the world in Messi and Ronaldo - and this video captures this
rivalry perfectly.
The new FIFA 2010 World Cup Ads are coming in at a faster rate now as the biggest sporting event
in the world is quickly approaching. Coke's latest attempt features transformer like Brazilian
soccer machines playing a young African boy who is on a personal football journey. The song again
showcases this summers football anthem "Waving Flag" by Canadian Artist K'naan.
New Pepsi commercial for upcoming 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. This spot takes a
humorous approach with football stars such as Kaka, Drogba and Henry playing soccer in a small
African Village. The best part of the video is when a goofy looking Lionel Messi pops out of a
field at the end -it's hard to believe he is the best player in the world.

The biggest rock band in the world once again lend their music to a great new ad called "United"
for the upcoming World Cup in South Afirca. This is not ESPN and the Irish band first
collaboration, as they created a promo for FIFA's 2006 World Cup. A great sequel, Bono once again
provides an inspirational performance that only Bono can deliver.
Another original video of FIFA's official theme song "Waving Flag" from Somalian-Canadian Artist
K'naan. This video has great images highlighting Africa's natural beauty and the beautiful animals
that inhabit the continent. I am hoping the African football nations do well and perhaps get past
the quarterfinals, as only Sengal and Cameroon have been able to achieve that milestone.
