Here is to a glorious 2011 season for Chivas USA!!! Why am I already thinking of the 2011 season you ask? Well my friends, because after last night, the 2010 season is pretty much over...well, its not like it really ever began anyways.

Its been a pretty terrible year for Chivas USA to say the least. I think with the new coach, and the loss of some key veteran players/leaders Chivas USA faced an uphill battle from the beginning. In the early part of the season (well pretty much up until last night) the team looked lost, with no clear leader and no "Mojo" as Austin Powers would say.

Well, I guess Carey Talley can play some soccer as he scored the wining goal against Chivas USA last night in DC. How much that have felt for him? I little payback for being tossed out with the trash, I bet it was sweet, just to show Vasquez what he could have had...I will link to the official Chivas USA site since it tells the story best!

Ok I gotta say it, since Martin Vasquez has been proudly sporting a Union Ultra scarf, Chivas USA has been kicking ass! Has he tapped into the Ultras Mojo and gotten some good Karma for giving the Ultras love? I think so!

Wow, what a difference a week makes!

I knew that things were going to be a bit different at this game for Chivas USA, I felt a different "vibe" when I got to lot 11 to tailgate with the Union Ultras. The supporters "pre game" has grown significantly and Hugo was cooking up some wicked beer batter fish and chips (inspired by our resident Brit Simon no doubt).

Well its comforting to know we are not on the VERY BOTTOM of the MLS Standings with the bottom dwellers being DC United. Chivas USA has played 4 games, and lost 3 of them. I can take solace in the fact that the Galaxy started off playing like crap last year and ended up in the MLS championship game (they lost).

Well watching the superclassico on ESPN tonight it looks like Chivas USA still has the same problems. Missed passes, people running around and just not looking like a team. I don't know what it is, but after Santos kicked that ball over the open goal from about 10 feet out.

The "New Year" Begins with a whimper!

It was supposed to be a new year for Chivas USA, a new coach, new players and from the size of the crowd (18,600) thousands of new fans. The front office worked hard in the of season to pump up the crowd and was rewarded with a nice jump in attendance , with the lower level of HDC packed to the gills with very lively fans.

It's been to long since I cheered for the red as white stripes! It's felt so good to tailgate with the Union Ultras, felt so good to see old friends. It felt so good to march to the stadium holding banners aloft. It felt so good to be back at a Chivas USA game!

This just in...former Chivas USA defender Carey Talley will be going to join DC United....only time will tell if Chivas USA made a good decision on this one

What the hell is going on at Chivas USA! 4 days before the start of the season and the new coach decides to waive Carey Talley?...Carey Talley, the guy that puts his body, face and any other part he can in between the rocket fast shots of a striker and the goal. The guy who runs like hell all game, doing all that he can to rally his team, the guy who is a LEADER on the field, the guy who takes time out to thank the fans, the guy who SHOULD BE CAPTAIN of the team, not cut from it!

Well, in case some of you are wondering why I am rooting for Club Santos Laguna at the Interliga tourney the reason is simple. I , being a generic white guy, have no ties to Mexico. I always have a team I "root" for at games as it makes it much more exciting for me....This time I chose Santos because 1.

It was a hot one today as a small crowd avoided Church and the NFL games to brave the midday heat! It was a small crowd, maybe 9 or 10 thousand but very passionate to say the least. I took my friend and former Galaxy season ticket holder, Gene Kato and his 2 little boys to his first Chivas USA game.
