New England Revolution.
If you span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"didn't/span catch
the Seattle Sounders game last night, you totally missed out! WOW! I was speechless most of the
game. Not only was the ball a magnet to span class="blsp-spelling-error"
id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"Montero's/span feet, but my eyes were glued to him.
Big Goffinho is reporting that Gallardo could be on his way back to Argentina. Thank you Soccer
Gods! Where do they go from here?
Pre-season training started last week and DCU has yet to announce any new signings. Plus, the
international tranfer window will close in four days. I'm getting a little worried.
Ugh.... it wasn't Quaranta, it was Kenny Cooper. Which not only means the player most deserving did
NOT win, but DC United was shut out of all awards and anything that had to do with the best of
2008. In my opinion, Moreno should have been up there with the Best XI and of course, Quaranta
should have been Comeback Player of the Year.
Yeah, I'm at work and having a very hard time working! The Expansion Draft Protected lists came out
yesterday, how am I suppose to work today?
Here is the list of players United decided to protect:
Quaranta, Emilio, Namoff, Simms, Guerrero, Boyzzz, Janicki, Moreno, Burch, McTavish, and Fred.
Sorry its been awhile. I decided not to do the Expansion draft list. Everyone has done one and I
don't think I have anything different to say. I would like to see Janicki, Burch and McTavish on
the list. Burch and Mctavish didn't have a stellar season, but I think they still have a lot to
offer and a lot to prove.
So, of course, yesterday I went on a rant about why I think Soehn should not be the coach next
season. And today, I find out that Soehn will in fact be the coach next year. GREAT!
I'm willing to give him another shot (as if I have any other choice). But seriously, come on man.
Bring this team back to the top.
Hey, maybe since Obama will be in DC, he can support DC United and help DCU get a stadium in the
city! Okay, probably not.... but who knows, anything can happen!
back tomorrow with the expansion draft.
What am I to do the next four months, until the new season starts? So many things that need to
change and so many things that don't. I am anxiously awaiting to hear something from the DC United
front office. Anyone being waived, fired or new coming in. I thought the process would start the
morning after we lost to Columbus or even the morning after we lost to CD Marathon.
So, its the middle of September, DCU has 6 regular season games left, 5 concacaf games left and 6
regular season players injured. What a rollercoaster of a season this has been.
I keep thinking about June, when they had their small winning streak. The players were finally
starting to gel, every one's confidence was going up and the season started looking brighter.
My name is Kristin. I am a DC United fan. I decided to start my own blog because I really don't
have many people to talk to about this team or sport for that matter. I have been a United fan for
almost four years and have become pretty much obsessed with the team. I am still pretty new to the
sport and am still learning things as I go along.
