The rumour mill continues to spin as fast as Spurs' revolving door transfer policy and after a
relatively quiet start we seem to be up to our usual
'linked-with-just-about-every-half-decent-player' standard. Let's face it, this really is one of
the best times of year to be a Spurs fan.
Lots more wheeling and dealing to be done before the window closes, but based on the current
rumours doing the rounds, we could line up against Liverpool like this.
News today that 'Arry also put in a bid in for Barry is a sign that he's still after a left-sided
midfielder so we can expect this to be a priority for the summer.
He's reportedly a long time admirer of Stewart Downing and I've also seen rumours linking us to
Martin Petrov of Man City.
Hi to all you Spurs Eye followers - are there any? Spurs Eye is now on Twitter - search for
Spurseye and follow for updates and transfer gossip.
After an injured plauged mid-season, Spurs Eye is finally off the treatment table and fighting fit
just in time for the silly season.
Personally, this is one of my favourite times of year as Spurs continue to be linked with all
manner of superstars, only to sign a dog!
Less than two weeks after the close of the season and the revolving door that is Spurs' transfer
policy is already spinning fast!
Alright it was only a point, and alright we were a bit sloppy at the back, but this morning who
really cares.
Cesc Fabregras reportedly said before the match that Spurs couldn't beat Arsenal Ladies. Well go
stuff yourself mate - if last night is anything to go by your ladies must be one hell of a team
seeing as we stuck four past your first team.

You've got to love 'Arry. He's only been in the job for 48 hours and already the headlines are full
of how much he's going to spend on players come January and even potential targets.
Kevin Doyle's been the subject of speculation already given that Comolli had him on the shortlist
so has some bloke who plays for Bordeaux, who's leading scorer in the French league.

Out with Ramos, in with Redknapp in a whirlwind 24 hours that surely few fans would have predicted.
Despite the blogs and message boards being lit up with calls for Ramos' sacking, few fans had any
ideas of a replacement. No one, and I mean absolutely no one, suggested big 'Arry.
And while the headlines in today's papers herald the coming of a new manager there are much bigger
things going on here than a mere change at the top.

We all knew it was a pretty poor performance, but hey it was his debut and even the mighty Berbs
didn't score on his debut. Poor Roman, he's probably not even met half the squad yet, let alone
played football with them.
So all things considered it was refreshing to hear his own honest appraisal of the game.

It's sad to take a look at the table at the moment. Granted, we've got a game in hand on many
sides, but bottom of the league with one point from nine is not where we hoped to be in
mid-September.
Tonight's game against Villa is a must win if we're to stay in touch with the teams who will by
vying for the other European slots.

Could these two or three extra few signings that we're after be on the way before the window shuts
on midnight of 31st August?
According to our friends at Setanta, they could just be. A report from them says Juande Ramos has
confirmed that he is looking to bring in both defensive and offensive players before the September
1 deadline.
