Real Madrid closed the signing of Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso for the next four seasons and
close to 30 million euros, both clubs confirmed the transaction on their official websites.
Alonso is in Norway where he was to compete in a friendly with Liverpool, but in the next few hours
he will travel to the capital of Spain to have a medical exam and sign his new contract as a player
of Real Madrid for the next four years.
