The ref did his best by allowing 5 mins of injury time and again like the Liverpool fixture it wasn't enough time - bizarre.

Yep hard to believe Liverpool 2-0 Man Utd and Liverpool score in the 5 mins of extra time. Did the ref get mixed up???? A great win in the Premier League game of the season. The build up was all about Liverpool's poor run of form, Liverpool's title race being over if the game is lost and Man Utd fans spoiling the game with Beachballs.

The Guardian has looked at all of United's league matches at Old Trafford since the start of the 2006-07 season and discovered that, on average, there has been over a minute extra added by referees when United do not have the lead after 90 minutes, compared to when they are in front.
