Martin O'Neill says it is "universally accepted" that Nemanja Vidic should have been
sent off in the opening minutes of the Carling Cup final.
Ref = Phil Dowd, need we say more?

Its Manchester United's 6th defeat in the league this season, surely that sort of record will
not win them the title. Well done Everton! Apparently it was 2 players from the Everton Youth
programme that scored the 2nd and 3rd goals (Gosling and Rodwell) something their more famous
Everton Youth player, Rooney could not manage on this occasion.

Bellamy is pelted with what seemed like coins and bottles before taking a corner, the corner is
eventually taken and Man Utd break away to score. Does the TV commentary even hint at the
possibility of player intimidation. No. Cheat to win the Carling Cup semi final? Yes.
Note: written in real time before the final result was known.

Tevez playing for Manchester City gets both goals to beat Man Utd 2-1 in the first leg of the
League (Carling) Cup. The first resulting from a potentially dubious penalty, these things should
even themselves out over the season, but are unlikely to in the case of Man Utd .
To add to the spice of the fixture the FA are going to investigate Gary Neville's one finger
salute to Tevez.

Birmingham manager Alex McLeish thought the officials had eventually made the correct decision
which led to the equaliser and the match finishing 1-1. Was he being diplomatic or respectful to
the referee? Comments please!
"The linesman's flagged for it and we felt that if he flagged for it then it shouldn't be
given,"Â McLeish said.

Great win! The biggest 3rd round upset of 2009/10 in the FA Cup. The start of the decade and a
Man Utd home defeat. The commentator on ITV said with about 10 mins to go that injury time would be
added in multiples of 5 minute intervals, how well informed was he (?)Â with 5 mins being added of
"fergie time" (God knows where that came from).

3 - 0 on the weekend before Christmas.
Jingle bells, jingle bells jingle all way, oh what fun it is to see Man U lose away!
The bleating Man Utd fans are no doubt pointing to the injury hit defence (seven missing we
think), well boo hoo. Welcome to the real world of teams who have not got huge squads to choose
from.

Aston Villa win 0-1 at Old Trafford . Fergie then moans that there is a missing minute of added
on time! Well lets add up all the extra, extra time over the years where Man Utd have scored to get
a win or a draw, then this missing minute is of no consequence. Unless there was a deal to score in
the missing minute.

Chelsea player kung fu kicked in the ribs by a Manc player, reminiscent of that thug Cantana.
The outcome, a booking for the Chelsea player :( and not a penalty for Chelsea! A short time
later Chelsea score to win the match 1-0 . The ref did his best by allowing 5 mins of injury time
and again like the Liverpool fixture it wasn't enough time - bizarre.

Yep hard to believe Liverpool 2-0 Man Utd and Liverpool score in the 5 mins of extra time. Did
the ref get mixed up???? A great win in the Premier League game of the season. The build up was all
about Liverpool's poor run of form, Liverpool's title race being over if the game is lost and Man
Utd fans spoiling the game with Beachballs.

Here is a quote from The Sun website:
The union for referees has demanded the FA get tough with the Manchester United boss for
accusing Alan Wiley of being unfit. Ferguson accused Wiley of being unfit to referee United's clash
with Sunderland at Old Trafford last Saturday.
It is a clear smoke screen to divert attention from Wiley being in Fergies pocket, after Wiley
played enough extra time for Man Utd to score in injury time (again).

Sunderland the victims of an Old Trafford injury time goal this time, to make the final score
2-2. It was pleasing to see Man Utd not win but it is funny (not) to see that the ref was Alan
Wiley.

I've just bought a friend of mine a Liverpool t-shirt like the one in the picture. It got me
thinking that if Man Utd fans don't like liverpool, then they won't agree with the priciple of
"You'll never walk alone". Therefore Man Utd fans by default must have a desire to walk alone! Why
not get one of these soccer shirts?

As sourced from The Guardian. The link presents the evidence that Man Utd get more injury time
when they are loosing compared to when there are drawing or winning.
The Guardian has looked at all of United's league matches at Old Trafford since the start of the
2006-07 season and discovered that, on average, there has been over a minute extra added by
referees when United do not have the lead after 90 minutes, compared to when they are in front.
