I love this image!
3 wins out of 3 against Millwall (H), Leeds Utd (A) (the team that thought they would go all season
unbeaten!) and Cheltenham (H) in the League and an away win at Rochdale in the Carling cup.
Top of the League after three games and the only 100% record. Does it get any
better than this - - - lets see!
The Ernie Cooksey flag will be touring the Leauge one and England International fixtures this
season! It's aim is to raise awareness of malignant melanoma, the cancer that killed Ernie at the
age of 28. I recomend you visit the website, which is planned to be updated after each leg of the
tour.

17 year old David Williams has signed for Latics. He has a knee injury and will not play for 6
weeks :(
For those with sentimental or historical slant on the Ford Stand / Lookers Stand / Broadway Stand /
New Morgages Stand here are a couple of photos. The one with the stand in in it's full glory on a
sunny day was obtained from Assume Nothing! - a Gillingham Fan's blog, with more than just football
to read about.

John Sheridan has secured a fifth signing of the closed season, Danny Whitaker (27) from Port Vale.
He is a midfielder who scored 15 goals in 92 appearances. Anyone care to comment on this signing?
A full list of Oldham's 08/09 fixtures are available on the BBC website. Here is my take on what
has come out....

Here are the fixtures which clash with England games, in that they kick off on the same day and
travelling time between venues is not possible to see both games, correct at the time of
writing:
- 6th Sept Tranmere v Oldham; Andorra v England
- 11th Oct Oldham v Hereford; England v Kazakhstan
The Andorra match is likely to be played in Barcelona so would nice to go to and I wouldn't
expect a shortage of tickets, Tranmere away on the same day is annoying.
Well who would have thought the potentially best away game from the fan's perspective would have
been so early in the season? The trip to spotland which was on the cards, but taken away at the
League 2 play off final when Rochdale lost, is now by a remarkable twist of fate back on! The first
competative fixture between the two clubs for about 30 years.
The Man United Devils Blog recently made a request for reviews by other blogs. So here goes...
This blog on first inspection is easy on the eye. It is not cluttered with annoying flashing adverts for example. Most posts are accompanied by a high quality photo. The content is updated regularly, even in closed season the author keeps the information current and topical.
The Huddersfield Town Season Ticket offer is now over. It is a special offer to celebrate the club's 100 year anniversary. Prices started at £100. The final number of purchased tickets is 16123. Sean Jarvis, former Latics and current Director of Business Development at Huddersfield Town is said "We're absolutely delighted".
Dale Stephens has signed for the Latics. Apparently a young lad for the future.
