The decision of Manchester United and Liverpool not to have an embroidered red poppy on their
shirts has caused quite a fuss. United have said that the poppy will not show up on their shirts
and with all the work and charity they already do for the armed forces, don't feel that joining
other Premiership clubs in having a poppy on their shirt will add to the contribution.

Wayne Rooney, who caused a fuss last season by telling a national newspaper he "hated" Liverpool
FC, has today confessed that when he was growing up as an Everton fan, he used United's success to
wind up any Liverpool fans he came across.
"United won most of the trophies in the 1990s and for me, as an Everton fan, it was a chance
to have a go back at the Liverpool fans," said Rooney.

Manchester United fans revised the Nicky Butt chant for Rodrigo Possebon as he started to shine
in League Cup performances last season.
The same has been done for Gabriel Obertan, particularly during his impressive display against

Tomasz Kuszczak has stupidly given an interview with MUTV criticising Edwin Van der Sar for not
helping him enough and suggesting that the Dutch goalie doesn't like him.

Wayne Rooney has again reiterated his love for our club, claiming he wants to spend the rest of
his career here and hopefully get somewhere near Ryan Giggs' appearance record.
"I have always said I would love to end my career at this club," said Rooney. "If I

Patrice Evra seems to get himself in trouble when we play Chelsea. The season before last he was
involved in a fight with a member of Chelsea's groundstaff after our defeat.
There was CCTV footage of the incident and the FA conceded that this did not show Evra hitting
the groundsman. The FA noted that the groundsman claimed he was hit on his right ear and that Evra
is right-handed, making it impossible for him to have struck him, given they were stood squared up
to each other.
