United and Liverpool Disrespect DEAD SOLDIERS

Republik Of Mancunia @ 06:17 AM EST

The decision of Manchester United and Liverpool not to have an embroidered red poppy on their shirts has caused quite a fuss. United have said that the poppy will not show up on their shirts and with all the work and charity they already do for the armed forces, don't feel that joining other Premiership clubs in having a poppy on their shirt will add to the contribution.

Rooney: I Used United Success To Taunt Liverpool Fans As A Kid

Republik Of Mancunia @ 03:30 AM EST

Wayne Rooney, who caused a fuss last season by telling a national newspaper he "hated" Liverpool FC, has today confessed that when he was growing up as an Everton fan, he used United's success to wind up any Liverpool fans he came across.

"United won most of the trophies in the 1990s and for me, as an Everton fan, it was a chance to have a go back at the Liverpool fans," said Rooney.

Obertan: Very Proud The Fans Sing My Name

Republik Of Mancunia @ 03:27 AM EST

Manchester United fans revised the Nicky Butt chant for Rodrigo Possebon as he started to shine in League Cup performances last season.

The same has been done for Gabriel Obertan, particularly during his impressive display against Barnsley, which has made him feel very welcome.

"I'm very proud of that," he told MUTV.

Not A Wise Move, Tomasz

Tomasz Kuszczak has stupidly given an interview with MUTV criticising Edwin Van der Sar for not helping him enough and suggesting that the Dutch goalie doesn't like him.

Oh dear.

"I must say this, Edwin doesn't help me. Maybe he doesn't like me," said Kuszczak. "He's got more experience and many more games under his belt.

Gerrard: Difficult To See Owen At United

Republik Of Mancunia @ 03:19 AM EST

Things aren't looking good in Merseyside at the moment, with Liverpool picking up yet another disappointing result in Europe last night, which puts them five points behind the team above them and six points off the top of the group, with just two matches to play.

In the league, they are currently 6th with just three points distancing them from 10th placed Burnley.

Evra: Something Always Happens With Chelsea

Republik Of Mancunia @ 12:02 PM EST

Patrice Evra seems to get himself in trouble when we play Chelsea. The season before last he was involved in a fight with a member of Chelsea's groundstaff after our defeat.

There was CCTV footage of the incident and the FA conceded that this did not show Evra hitting the groundsman. The FA noted that the groundsman claimed he was hit on his right ear and that Evra is right-handed, making it impossible for him to have struck him, given they were stood squared up to each other.
