Little has been reported about Camel Meriem since his trial with Bolton Wanderers Football
Club.
Despite his trial with the club and an apparent offer of a two year deal back in April (2009) it
seems that Meriem no longer features in Gary Megson's plans.
Camel Meriem may still become a player in the Premier League as he begun a trial with Blackburn
Rovers this week.

Always ready to make a few quid (usually on eBay) Bolton Wanderers have responded quickly to the
news outbreak that swine flu is infecting the English Premier League with BWFC branded face masks
selling at a reasonable £14.99.
Instead of singing 'stand up if you hate man u' perhaps 'a–choo if you hate swine
flu' could be a topical song that could be sung when Bolton travel down south for their League
Cup clash against Chelsea.

Former Bolton manager Sam Alladyce revealed that some of Blackburn's players played against
Chelsea despite showing some symptoms of Swine Flu. Big Sam is concerned about the virus but The
Wanderers' current manager is not perturbed by an apparent outbreak at The Reebok Stadium.
In a statement on the official Rovers website Big Sam said;
"Obviously, we've had two players who have been particularly poorly with it, and we've had a few
more that have had something which looked like the symptoms, but they still managed to travel with
us and get through the game at Chelsea.

Judging by this photograph there were a few similarities between Bolton's match against
Manchester United and Sunderland versus Liverpool. Sunderland beat Liverpool by a single
contentious goal in which Darren Bent's shot was deflected by a beach ball.

No Plans For Alan Smith
Gary Megson has denied the recent rumour about his hopes to sign Newcastle United's striker,
Alan Smith for Bolton Wanderers. He told the Bolton News,
"I'm an admirer of Alan Smith, he's a terrific player, but there's been nothing because the
transfer window is closed.

South Korea 2 – 0 Senegal
Bolton's Lee Chong–yong assisted Ki Sung-yong in getting on the score sheet in the friendly
against Senegal in Seoul. Celtic's Sung–yong took South Korea ahead with a shot from 20 metres a
few minutes before half–time.

Fabrice Muamba came on for Peterborough United's Danny Rose with 20 minutes to
go. Unfortunately Muamba's most notable contribution seems to be that he may have injured Micah
Richards when he collided with the Manchester City defender.
