Supergolazo! Roberto Baggio...

More vintage goodness in the form of the ponytailed-wonder and 1993 Footballer of the Year. This 2001 clip shows the man tearing Lecce apart limb from limb - the goal from the corner flag is simply brilliant... Click to continue reading...

Horror Tackle! Harald Schumacher...

1
Classic tacklage today with this infamous collision from the '82 World Cup. Keeper Harald Schumacher and French defender Patrick Battiston chase down a long ball over the top and mayhem ensues. Schumacher hits the Frenchman like a Panzer rolling through the Maginot Line, leaving him missing a couple of chiclets and his pulse. Click to continue reading...

Ronaldinho to Milan...

It's no wonder AC couldn't manage to match Man City's £200k per week bid for the bucktoothed two-time FIFA Player of the Year. Look and the money they put into this fireworks display to welcome the man to the team! Shame really, as a long-time fan of the guy, I was really looking forward to seeing him in the Prem but alas, we'll have to make do with the Sunday afternoon Serie A match on Telelatino.

Quote of the Day...

"If a player wants to leave, all he has to do is train with the wrong attitude and I guarantee you'd p*** off any manager.

"There's not much loyalty left in football, unfortunately, from my own experiences.

"Clubs sell players sometimes like a piece of meat, so if a player wants to go and better himself, good luck to him. Click to continue reading...

Hey, that sucks! Rowen Fernandez...

0
Arminia Bielefield stopper Rowen Fernandez takes a Alex Frei free-kick full in the squash, via the crossbar, only to direct it straight into the back of his own goal. That, my friends, sucks. Click to continue reading...

Quote of the Day...

"We will see what happens there, but we are talking about two very important players. For the moment they are with us, but whatever happens the idea is to have a great squad, with the potential to allow us to aim to improve on what we managed last season."

Spurs gaffer Juande Ramos is not deterred by the idea of selling his two star strikers, Dmitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane, via Football365. Click to continue reading...

Horror Tackle! John Hartson...

Ooof! Naughty boy! Ref must have been in a good mood to only show the yellow as this is straight red just about anywhere on the planet. Except for possibly Argentina... Click to continue reading...

Freekick Supergolazo! Cristiano Ronaldo...

2
Yes, he's being a bit of a prat recently. Yes, he's been spotted recently being hit on by Paris Hilton. Yes, we'll enjoy spending the £75mil we'll get for him. Yes, we'll miss strikes like this one. Sublime. Click to continue reading...

Save of the Week - Jim Montgomery...

1
The quintessential David v. Goliath matchup as second division no-hopers Sunderland take on the mighty Leeds in their classic 1973 FA Cup Final encounter. Ian Porterfield's strike does the damage and thanks to this double-save to end all double-saves by keeper Montgomery, Sunderland fans get a moment of history to call their own.
