Yes that is true the man with the number 33 in the above picture is Clint, but why is he back here
right now and training with LA? Last I heard I thought this guy was playing in the Greece superliga
playing for Ergotelis. Does this mean Mathis will soon be making his debut for the Galaxy? I don't
know but LA could sure use another guy up top.
Another American abroad, yes Jozy Altidore has made it over and was introduced at Villarreal. This
is great for the MLS they made a little money off him, and Jozy is happy too because he gets to
progress his career. Jozy agreed to a six year contract with the club and many rumors are
circulating that he will be loaned out, but only time will tell to see if Jozy can break in at
Villarreal.
An update out of Columbus on Adam Moffat;s knee injury. Sources have told the bath that after further diagnosis he has a torn his ACL. Moffat will undergo surgery and will miss the rest of the season. This is a blow the Crew did not need at this point in the season, but we must look forward to the next game.
I know these pictures are not MLS related, but had to post these just because. A a funny picture I thought I would share. Look how happy John Terry is to be taking a picture with Mickey Mouse.

And than we have Wayne Rooney relaxing a little bit in the summer with his boys in thongs.
Instead of pointing the finger at a player this week, I think it would be better to discuss the MLS officials. Considering this past week in MLS seven red cards were handed out, is the problem with the players or with the referees? I would have to say the referees, they do much more than hand out yellow and red cards.
1. New England
- This team is just flat out getting it done. With a win this week they claim top spot in the east and are looking pretty consistent right now.
2. Chicago Fire
- They suffered a disappointing loss this week, but even with that they still looked impressive. This team will bounce back and get some points before you know it.
Bad news for Crew fans again, midfielder Adam Moffat who had just returned from a knee injury has
suffered yet another knee injury. Sources have told the bath that Moffat has torn his MCL, but
there was concern that his ACL might be damaged as well. However an MRI has showed that no damage
has been done to his ACL.
With all the transfer talk of Jozy to Villareal we completely forgot about a young man by the name
of Michael Bradley. As of late Heerenveen had asked $5.8 million from Everton for the former
Metrostars man. It seems now that another team has jumped in the race for the services of Bradley
with Boro offering $6 million for him.
- The much anticipated move of Jozy Altidore to Europe has come. According to Ives he will be sold
for $10 million dollars to spanish club Villarreal. The Deal can't become official till July 1st,
when the european transfer window opens up, but this has to be a dream move for Jozy. What do you
think of the deal?
Following the early bath given to Eddie Robinson in a mid week game with Dallas, it got me thinking
how many games will Robinson miss this season due to disciplinary actions? He has already missed
many games this year due to red cards, but if he continues at this rate how long will he be in the
Houston lineup.
Sources have told the bath this week that former Revolution player Pat Noonan is looking to make a
return to the MLS. Noonan has been playing in Norway for Aalesunds FK, but has mentioned a move
back to MLS sooner rather than later would make him a happier man. Along with players returning to
MLS, Brian Mcribe, where will he go?
Robbie Rogers was called into the national team player pool by Bob Bradley, but still was still
waiting for the chance to make it to a camp to try and impress. He would have had that opportunity
had it not been for a hurt knee suffered in the Chivas USA game this weekend. Sources tell the Bath
that an injury(possibly Donovan) left Bob calling for the services of Rogers, but after the game
Saturday night Rogers had to decline an invitation to Spain because of an unknown knee injury.
1. Chicago Fire
- It was a bye week, but with the best defense in the league and Blanco playing above expectations
this team is still on the move.
2. Toronto FC
- A good win at home against LA shows that TFC has the players to step in and fill the voids.
Toronto continues to climb the ladder in the east and is inching closer and closer with each win.
According to 3rd degree, an FC Dallas Blog, SMU head coach Schellas Hyndman will take over the role
as both head coach and technical director. Apparently Hyndman was offered the job on three separate
occasions before, but this time he has accepted it. What do you think of this decision? Who do you
think they should have hired?
MLS tabbed as Pro League of the Year. This award was given by the Sports Business Journal, the MLS
beat out the NBA, NFL, and MLB.
The Star Telegram has reported that former FC Dallas player Pareja and former Fire Coach Dave
Sarachan are interviewing for the head coaching position at Dallas.
