So it looks inevitable that Harry Redknapp will become England manager one day (unless Roy
Hodgson gatecrashes the party and becomes even more unpopular). He'll probably take charge at the
end of the season, and so we've tried to predict the 11 players he'd do well to pick.
We're aware that the teams lacking a lot of experience, apart from Rooney, Parker and Baines
(Hart too, to some extent), so maybe Jones could drop to the bench to be replaced by an older
head.
Really poor behaviour by Luis Suarez in the Man United v Liverpool game. In the much anticipated
pre-match handshake, Evra went to shake Suarez's hand but Suarez blanked him and continued down the
line. Evra then reacted and tried grabbing hold of Suarez. Rio Ferdinand then ignored Suarez when
he tried to shake his hand.
Internet's been down in the FootyBlog mansions recently, so we were unable to share the story of
the Anfield cat...
Apparently its a homeless cat named Kenny who is often spotted around the ground, but this was
the first time it made an appearance on the pitch at Anfield. A spoof Twitter was set up after the
game, reaching 25,000 followers the next day (is currently above 40,000!
Personally I'm quite pleased to hear both Redknapp and Mandaric have been cleared of tax
evasion, it can't have been a great few months for either of the guys. Anyway, I think Redknapp
would do a good job as future manager of England, and I don't think the FA would have touched him
had he been prosecuted or given a criminal record.
Quite an entertaining story circulating from Sky Sports today stating that the Liverpool
chairman Tom Werner has denied that winger Stewart Downing was signed from Aston Villa based on a
fake YouTube video in which Downing is shown kicking balls into 5 different wheelie bins.
The video is so fake its quite unbelievable, so its surprising to even hear the Liverpool
chairman commenting on the matter.
It was concerning to read that Liverpool were planning to offer Andy Carroll in a direct swap
deal with Carlos Tevez at the weekend.
At £35 million it is quite clear as far as the best bookmakers are concerned that the former
Newcastle forward has not lived up to what might have been expected of him at Anfield in the year
he has been with the club, but it is important to remember that he is still young.
And so the Carlos Tevez saga continues linked to Inter, AC Milan, PSG, and now Liverpool. The
club have apparently had a bid for Tevez rebuffed and hardly surprising given that they are
rumoured to have offered Andy Carroll in a straight swap for the player.
I know Tevez is hard work and a bit of a cry baby at times, but I know who I'd rather have in my
team, City would've been mad to do a like-for-like swap, although with the money at their disposal
I doubt they'd really mind, plus Carroll can be decent when playing as a target man but I can't see
that City would really need to resort to that with the quality of players at their disposal.
Chris Coleman has been announced as the new manager of Wales, replacing Gary Speed who
tragically died a few months ago. Coleman stated that it was such a bittersweet emotion, becoming
Wales manager in such sad circumstances, but feels that he can continue much of the good work that
Gary had began.
Aston Villa is set to make a move to sign FB Gulbene Georgian winger David Tsiskarishvili
(19).
QPR and several french clubs is also tracking this player.
David Tsiskarishvili is considered one of the best young player of Latvian Virsliga.
According to information he's very speedy and skillful.

Mark Hughes has demanded an improvement from his Queens Park Rangers side after the 1-0 victory
over MK Dons in the FA Cup third round replay last night.
Most soccer betting pundits will agree that the League One side were more than a match for
Hughes' men for the majority and even though the home side eventually progressed to the fourth
round, Hughes knows his team have to be better in all departments.
Quite a transfer coup for Newcastle with the signing of £10 million pound number 9 Papiss Demba
Cisse from German side Freiburg. The Senegalese striker will wear the famous shirt, as worn by
previous Newcastle legends Alan Shearer, Jackie Milburn and Malcolm Macdonald. He will make up half
of a potentially lethal strikeforce alongside Newcastle's other top striker, also from Senegal,
Demba Ba.
Looks like the magician Dynamo has been up to his old tricks again... here he is featuring in a
video at Michael Owen's stables, performing card tricks for Wayne Rooney, Michael Owen and Tom
Cleverley.

Thierry Henry went from hero to villain in just a matter of days when, following his amazing
match winner against Leeds in the FA Cup, he remonstrated with an Arsenal fan to come onto the
pitch after the game to have a word with the Frenchman.
Arsenal lost the match 3-2 with Swansea playing some excellent passing football, much in the
same style as Arsenal, but won the game following a loose pass from Henry.
As expected Gary Cahill has completed his £7 million move to Chelsea from Bolton Wanderers,
apparently being given a contract worth £23 million.
In another quite interesting piece of speculation, Tottenham Manager Harry Redknapp has denied that
the club are willing to swap Luka Modric for Fernando Torres at Chelsea.
