Think Ronaldinho was passed it since deciding to move back to Brazil with Atlético Mineiro? Watch this video below and make your own mind up on that one... just a shame he wasn't playing with some more talented strikers!

Wayne Rooney Injury

Rooney suffered a nasty gash to the league during Man United's match with Fulham today, check out the video below, along with Danny Wellbeck's great reaction to seeing the injury...

Unfortunately for Manchester United Rooney is likely to be out of action for 4 weeks according to the United physio team.

Sunderland Sign Adam Johnson

Finally Adam Johnson has moved on from Manchester City, joining Sunderland in what is rumoured to be a £15 million deal. This makes Sunderland's spending over the past 2 days around the £30 million mark with the acquisition of Steven Fletcher from Wolves yesterday for a similar amount. The news was broken on the official Sunderland Twitter account, but it appears Adam Johnson will have to complete a medical before finalising his transfer to Sunderland.

Beckham Scores From Corner Kick

Looks like Beckham's up to his old tricks again for LA Galaxy, this time scoring directly from a corner in a cup qualifying game. Poor defending/goalkeeping, as expected when you watch games from America, along with the stereotypical South American commentator shouting "Goaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal".

Wigan Accept Chelsea Bid For Moses

Looks like Moses is on his way to Chelsea finally with Wigan Athletic announcing that they've accepted a bid from the West London club at the fourth time of asking. Victor Moses will now sit down with Chelsea to discuss personal terms.

Personally I feel he could have done with a few more years at the club in order to develop, I can't see him featuring too heavily with Chelsea and when playing at his age you need as many games as possible to develop further.

Funny Footballer Impressions

Some great footballer and manager/pundit impressions from a couple of years ago which included Thierry Henry, Avram Grant, Jose Mourinho, Arsene Wenger, Alan Hansen, Andre Villas Boas and Emmanuel Adebayor. I think in the case of this video they saved the best until last with a quality Adebayor impression.

If you can put up with the 1970′s style commentary and the grainy footage to match then take a look at this video below (skip to about 1 minute 28 too if you're in a rush) to see a bullet of a goal from Nacho of Newell's Old Boys, in the Argentine top league.

Adebayor Rejoins Spurs

Obviously AVB was impressed enough with the qualities of Emmanuel Adebayor with the Toga international re-joining Spurs on what looks like a permanent deal.

Tottenham have greatly appreciated having Adebayor leading the line for the club last season and have looked lacking up front so the signing of Adebayor from Man City has always been a priority for them, with the player costing them as little as £5 million which seems to be a bargain.

What next for Arsenal?

Just like last season, Arsenal's squad has been stung by two big name departures in the closing weeks of the transfer window.

Alex Song becomes the latest to jump ship for a deal worth around £16 million, joining former team-mate Cesc Fabregas at Barcelona whilst the shock transfer of Robin van Persie to arch rivals Manchester United will seem all the more real today when he debuts for the Red Devils against Everton.

Berbatov Linked With Sunderland

Sunderland manager Martin O'Neil is interested in signing Manchester United striker Dmitar berbatov, now surplus to requirements since the arrival of Robin Van Persie.

The Black Cats have reportedly put in a bid of £5 million for the Man United striker, but there are a few other parties interested such as the Russian giants Zenit St Petersburg.

A brilliant goal from Zoltan Gera for West Brom against Liverpool in the opening game of the season, enjoy!

Man United Sign Robin Van Persie

Breaking news (well 3 hours ago anyway), as reported on Twitter by a BBC Sports journalist Man United and Arsenal have agreed a fee for the transfer of Robin Van Persie. Van Persie will join United subject to passing a medical, with the fee apparently in the £24 million region.

Feedback generally from social sites seem to consist of over-joyed Man United fans, surprised that they've spent so big and got such a talented striker as RVP when perhaps a central midfielder is more of a priority.

Fabrice Muamba Retires From Football

Sad to hear that Muamba has had to retire from football but based on whats happened to him healthwise no-one at all can blame him! I think the majority of football fans would have felt fearful to see Fabrice back on a football pitch so I can't imagine how family or friends would have felt had he returned as a player.

If you're taking a holiday in Europe, the chances are that there will be a game of football happening somewhere near you. It's a great opportunity to experience the atmosphere at some of sport's most iconic grounds.

Football is Europe's most popular game. The season generally starts in August and ends in May, but there are still international games and tournaments such as the European Championships and World Cup.
