Goodbye? More like hello.

Yes, a new day awaits us all. By now you are well aware of the latest development in the brief but cracking existence of Chelsea Offside. In short, this space, in just a few hours, will be no more. A redirect and a lovely archive at our new home, We Ain't Got No History will be all that's left of this small slice of the web I called home for a good long time.

Indeed, the time has come friends for us to say our goodbyes. If you follow us on Twitter, then you're well aware of the news. If not, then hit the jump to get informed. We're not disappearing, just moving locations of sorts. More, after the jump:

I haven't been at this craft for too long.

Chelsea's tour of the United States comes to a close tonight on South Beach against Milan, a club we defeated on American soil three years ago. Drogba opened with a stunner that evening. Expect some proper competition tonight and, you know, a little bit of Nando.

I'll miss Sheva.

The Illadelph welcomes Chelsea. That being said, tonight represents "The Next Movement" for our upcoming season.

From NY to Philly.

Ben Franklin's town welcomes Chelsea this evening as the club's preseason tour of the states continues with the MLS All-Star Game at PPL Park. There will be no Fernando Torres unfortunately, but at least we'll be blessed with the flowing grace of one David Beckham. Score.

It’s official: Oscar joins Chelsea, finally

Talk about worst kept secrets.

Chelsea have finally announced that the club has completed the signing of Oscar from Internacional for a fee widely being reported to be around £25 million. The 20-year-old, a Brazilian international, adds even more creativity to a side that has been bolstered by the likes of Eden Hazard and Marko Marin already this summer.

The title sums it up. Chelsea have released an official statement confirming the capture of Eden's little bro. Let the picture speak for itself.

After two tune-up fixtures on opposite coasts of the continental United States, Chelsea are bunkered down in the city of brotherly love for a Wednesday evening showcase against the MLS All Stars. Fernando Torres has rejoined the squad, along with Raul Meireles, leaving our only outstanding players the Spanish duo of Juan Mata and Oriol Romeu.

Jack is in New York for the festivities. I'm in Los Angeles battling a cold. Join me then, for what promises to be a spectacle of sorts.

Training Day

Preseason just got that much more interesting. Chelsea have left the comforts of the northwest to visit Gotham for a date with Carlo Ancelotti and his selection of weapons.

West Coast. East Coast.

Chelsea make the move from Seattle to the Apple for the second match of their preseason tour of the United States. Some wealthy Parisians await. This should be pretty good for a meaningless, insignificant friendly, I reckon.

Making room.

Obviously, Chelsea have some famous fans. We knew about Will Ferrell's love for the club, but this is the first I'm hearing about Mr. Galifianakis' appreciation for the Blues. Still, comic gold in this shot. Will and Zach look like they enjoyed some quality herbal remedies prior to the photo.

Seattle 2-4 Chelsea: some thoughts, some feelings

Chelsea opened their preseason tour of the United States last night with a 4-2 win over Sounders FC in the Emerald City. It was, for the most part, a nice run-out for the squad new additions, veterans and the like. Sure we can't read that much into an exhibition, particularly our first of the new season, but there are a few things worth noting.

It wasn't perfect, and there's still plenty of work to be done. But for the moment, Chelsea appear to be on the verge of identifying themselves as a new-look counter-attacking side with plenty of pace and trickery. More, after the jump:

Preseason friendlies are hard to judge.

Chelsea have come to America. Hallelujah.

Eden. He's a prince.

The preseason kicks off tonight in Washington state. Thanks the heavens for that. We'll be back around with lineups and the like a little later, but for now talk amongst yourselves. Who do you reckon will leave the biggest imprint tonight?

Lasting Images

Right, now that we're past the obvious, we've got work to do. Amidst the celebrations this summer, Chelsea have set out on a course to reshape the squad through a series of transactions, the majority of which remain pending.
