his official return for Sochaux.
Having last played in a Ligue 1 game on Oct. 3, 2009, Davies completed his return to Sochaux by
coming off the bench in its 1-0 defeat to Stade Rennes.

Friday's scrimmage between the Houston Dynamo and the Los Angeles Galaxy may have been a rematch
of the 2011 MLS Cup, but last November's match was far from the minds of all involved.
The Dynamo defeated the Galaxy 1-0 after Nathan Sturgis scored the lone goal of the match on a
header from a looping cross from Josue Soto in the 68th minute.
One of Jurgen Klinsmann's goals upon becoming coach of the U.S. national team was to revamp the
system from senior team to youth structure, and with Friday's announcement, he has certainly made a
major change to the latter.
Starting in September, the U.S. Development Academy will operate on a 10-month schedule,
mimicking the development systems of nations around the world.

top-rate action to catch.
This weekend has the potential to be a landmark one for a number of Americans looking to make
their mark on the European game.

There will be no hero's send-off for Thierry Henry.
After Henry scored the final goal in a 7-1 Arsenal victory over Blackburn last weekend, Arsenal
manager Arsene Wenger eluded to the possibility of extending Henry's loan up to the London derby
against Tottenham on Feb.

For Charlie Davies, perhaps not securing a full transfer or loan extension was the best tactic
to take this winter after all.
Davies has been included on Sochaux's first-team roster for the club's league game at Stade
Rennes on Saturday, marking a major milestone for him and his quest to break back into the club's
lineup.
