Arsenals were eliminated from the Champions League by a gallant performance from Liverpool. Diaby in the 13th min scored for Arsenals who were having the better of the first half. Birmingham hold Arsenals to a draw

After 3 minutes in the first half, Birmingham were reduced to ten men when their captain Taylor was red carded for a tackle on Eduardo who had to be hospitalized.

Jens Lehmann now has a chance of staking his claim for No 1 position with the injury to Manuel Almunia's thumb. He will will ensuring that hie has a good performance today.

The Gunners have quite a few players on the injury list and will be looking to get maximum points from Sven Ericsson's team in order to keep up with the Red devils in the top of the log.

Tunisia and Angola played to a goal less draw which allowed both teams to progress to the Quarter Finals stage of the tournament.
Van Heerden scored an early goal for Bafana Bafana and they enjoy the lead for a while until the 36th minute when Camara equalised for Senegal and the match score remained like that until the final whistle

Namibia held Guinea to a 1 all draw however Guinea manage to survive and proceed to the next round. The Namibians after their shock first match were nervous and they soon overcame that and played splendid soccer in the next two matches. Guinea beat Morocco 3-2

The match of the tournament certainly as Guinea survive after defeating Morocco three goals to two. Feindouno scored twice for Guinea however he received an unnecessary red card in the 63rd minute. Bangoura scored the other goal for Guinea.

South Africa scored in 88th minute for a draw

The Angolan played a superb game and held on to their after a goal by Manucho scored during the 30th minute of the first half.
The South Africans piled on the pressure during the second half and during the 88th minute were rewarded with a goal scored by Elton van Heerden. This goal surely removed some of the pressure from Carlos Perreira and they will have to ensure that they play well during their next two games in this group. Click to continue reading...
