Real Madrid got off to a winning start with a new coach in the Champions League thanks to goals from Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Raul.

Raul's goal took his tally in the Champions League to 59 just a goal behind Inzaghi & Shevchenko with both of his rivals also scoring on the same night.

Raul's goal arrived on 16 minutes. Van Nistelrooy headed for the left by-line and Raul's trajectory took him towards the near post.
