Drogba proves to be the better buy

Didier Drogba and Djibril Cisse both arrived in the English Premiership around the same time. Drogba just had his biggest season (03/04) with Marseille, scoring 29 goals in all competitions before sealing a then record signing for £24 million to Chelsea.

Liverpool meanwhile, under the guidance of Gerard Houllier had long courted the services of Cisse, who was the consistent top scorer for Auxerre.
