Preamble
Us American soccer fans are never happy – maybe it's the fact that none of our teams play exactly
to our liking, or the game was a friendly against mediocre opposition, or the team wasn't our
strongest, or the game got zero media coverage or having to put up with comments from those that
don't know the game. So forgive me if I'm not too excited about an August 22nd friendly in
Sweden, during a time in which most leagues around the world are either wrapping up their preseason
or just beginning the regular season.
