What David Beckham's one-man wrecking crew performance against DC United tells us about the MLS

Let's just cut to the chase, Major League Soccer is not even on par with the Championship. This isn't ten years ago, Beckham isn't 22, and this certainly isn't the Premiership. He's a 32-year-old man playing at "78%" and for a little over an hour he completely shredded arguably the best team in the MLS.

DC United played some of the most brainless football last night that I've seen in a long time and they're the cream of the MLS crop?
